Eliza's POV
As a searing pain radiates up my foot from my ankle my leg buckles and I fall to the floor and reach for my ankle. I barely touch my foot when another wave of pain like needles piercing my skin has me recoiling my hand.
"Eliza, are you ok?"
The sound of Luca's voice has my head snapping up towards the opening of the pit. A wave of relief washes over me as fresh tears escape the corner of my eyes.
"I'm down here! Luca! Help me!" I shout at the top of my lungs as I push my body against a wall of dirt and attempt to stand again. I struggle on my first two attempts but I successfully prop my self against the wall on the third try.
Wiping the sweat and tears off my face with the back of a hand, I look up at the opening again, wondering if Luca heard me.
"Luca! I'm down here! C
