Chapter 17
Blaze
The meeting ended up ending sooner than I thought. So of course I rush home. I am anxious to see Ember. I know the reason why. It's because I'm always worried she will be whisked away again.
"My love, I'm home" I call out. Very soon it becomes clear that the house is empty. I try not to freak out at first as I walk to the kitchen. As a matter of fact, I don't recall seeing the vehicle in the driveway. So perhaps she just went for a drive. We have a whiteboard in the kitchen that we put there to implement a new system or we write things down when we are going to be leaving without the other one knowing. So I quickly walk to the kitchen to check the whiteboard. And sure enough there's a note.
Had to run to the school, Dante got into a fight.
