3. Those Mesmerizing Pair of Eyes

1046 Words
NAAYA’S POV: As we reached the exit of the Airport, we saw our cousin waving his hands at us and jumping in excitement to see us. His beautiful wife was laughing at his actions, standing beside him with their son in her lap.  His name is Aman and he is 38 years old. He is an average height man with a rather visible tummy and a harry potter glasses around his eyes. He has basically raised us when we were young and then he moved to the USA when I was 17. Now I am 22 years old and it has been 6 years since I saw him last. My sister ran toward them and gave them all a tight suffocating hug, which I was pretty sure might have broken their ribs. I went to them slowly and said hello but they caged me in a hug, which I tried to avoid at first but then I gave up and hugged them back. I was really happy to see them and their son was the most precious thing I have ever seen. During the ride to their house, we were continuously talking and chitchatting about everything that had happened so far in Pakistan. My sister was telling them about the neighbor girl we all used to know, who recently ran away with a boy and I was mimicking the voice of my aunt who hated kids and now her daughter in law was giving her a tough time. My cousin was driving the car when suddenly the car stumbled and halted. “f**k what the hell is this man doing?” Aman Bhai said angrily, applying the brakes with full force. Everyone became cautious and stopped talking. We all looked out and what we saw was that the car in front of us was swaying left and right as if the driver was either drunk or maybe he was not in his right mind. Aman Bhai gave him a horn but the car was still staggering left and right as if the driver was deaf. We stopped the car so that he could pass so that we don’t face an accident. “He will smash his car somewhere if he continues to drive as a lunatic” Aman Bhai said with a worrisome voice to which we all nodded. Our worries came true when the car swayed to its left and went sideways toward the trees and with a loud shunt, the car hit the trees. It was a brutal smash and the car’s front was smashed deep into the trees. “Oh my GOD….” I said gasping loudly and immediately unbuckled my seat belt and ran towards the car to help the person in the car. My cousin called 911 right away and ran after me to help the person. As I made my way toward the car shouting for the person to respond, I could easily see that the car was heavily dented and the person in the car might have been dead. I ran toward the damaged car as fast as I could. As I reached the front door of the car, I could easily smell burned chemicals from the engine, it was nauseating. I quickly opened the door and I was terrified to see the sight in front of me. The person’s head was tilted on the steering wheel and blood was oozing out of his forehead. The red sticky substance was rolling out from his forehead down to his neck marking his lips and cheeks blood red. His eyes were barely open showing that he may pass out any minute. I tilted his head back to the seat with great difficulty as I was having a hard time touching him. But as soon as I aligned his face to the back, I was dumbfounded to see the Greek God in front of me. He was the epitome of beauty with jet black hair that was thick and lustrous scattered around his forehead, his bone structure was symmetrical with cheekbones high and prominent, his lips were thin and rosy and his 8 packs were easily visible from his thin shirt. He was a treat for eyes. But the most mesmerizing thing about him was his eyes. Eyes that could make any woman weak on her knees. Eyes that make you never look away from them as if those pairs of eyes were the only thing that exists in this world. They were steel grey with a tinge of blue in them but I could feel that there was more to those mysterious eyes. There was more that needs to be explored, more that needs to be seen under the hollows of that deep ocean-like eyes. They were looking right at me. “Is he alive Naaya beta?” someone called me from behind. ”huh...” I was brought back to the world by Aman Bhai’s voice. I looked back and nodded my head in yes. “His eyes were open when I came,” I said. “But he is not conscious now. Maybe he passed out” he said looking at him. I looked back instantly but his mysterious eyes were now shut. Maybe the pain of the world was too much for him. The sirens of the ambulance started to buzz and the rescue operator reached us and started inquiring about the incident. They quickly took him to the ambulance and gave him first aid. The operators inquired us about the accident and we told them everything we witnessed. My eyes didn’t leave his sight until the ambulance left the accident site. I was tired and exhausted due to the journey and also by the whole incident. Aman Bhai answered all of their questions and we were almost free. “You may go now but if we need any information we will inform you and you have to come down to the police station” the police inspector inquiring us said. He shook hands with Aman Bhai and left. We came to our car and sat. Neeshay, Bhabhi, and Rayan were sleeping as it took us almost 3 hours to give our statement. Aman Bhai sat on the driving seat and we drove back to his house. It was a long day and I was looking out the window thinking about those eyes. I wondered what pain those eyes were hiding behind them before closing my eyes and resting myself on the back seat.
