Jump!
BELLA’S POV:
The Aucourant boy, is dressed in a navy blue suits, all tucked in and neat. His dark hair blonde hair is neatly combed, and clean cut. He has an olive skin, and a grey eyes was looking back at me. He gave me a sheepish smile, and I couldn’t help but smile back. He has a thin but lean body, and wide shoulders.
“The name is Tony, short for Anthony Sparks.” He mutters, and he c***s his head to one side. He offers his hand, and I took it. “Mine is, Isabella Scotts.” I said.
“And, I am Simon, her brother.” My brother suddenly said, and I pulled out my hand, embarrassed. My cheeks turned scarlet, i bit off my lower lip to ease off the tension in my guts. Tony’s brows arches in surprised, “Two siblings in one block. That’s rare.” He says in a voice using his usual Aucourant voice. Aucourant folks has curious minds, and has the ability to read people’s mind. They basically know everything. How things works, and how people’s power works. But, they all depends on the knowledge they got from Spell Books that are in their Archives or Library. My brother ignore his remarks.
"Hey, nice jump," he smiled.
"Ohh." I smiled back.
We stood together by a window and I observed the transfers. Two Magus, a boy and a girl were huddled together, although not talking. The transfers were mostly from Aucourant.
"What brought you on to this train?," Thony asked, turning to me.
"I don't know. I guess the reality is against me," I shrugged.
"You?" We took a seat the metal floor, as we mimic the movement of the Combats Borns. The filth of the ground doesn't seem to bothers them, one of them was even rolling on the ground. Combats are the only block who are noisy everywhere they go. Unlike the Magus, they are very well soft spoken, wouldn’t utter a single word unless it is necessary or important. Same thing with Aucourant.
"Aucourant has never been my block, my friends and family knows that. I always got into trouble and everyone agreed I was a Combat. So here I am," he chuckled. Just like Simon, who could easily get impatient, and very short temper for a Magus by birth. We laughed for a while until the Aucourants shouted. "Hey, we need to jump!" they said in fear. The Combat Borns were still laughing, and they jumped off the train without even thinking. My dad calls them crazy, and careless, they fear being a Blockless more than death. Simon and I walk towards where they jumped off. The train were still moving so fast. How are we going to jump?
Simon looked over at me and sensed my fear. My teeth were chattering again, and sweat was beading on my forehead.
“It’s either will make it there, or end up dying.” Tony jokes.
"Hey, calm down. It’s just a jump," he said, resting his hand on my arm. I shook my head vigorously and Simon took my hand. Ignoring Tony.
"If you can't do it alone, together it is," he said. I looked at him and he smiled.
"Ready?"
I inhaled deeply and nodded. We started running and jumped off. We landed on our knees and scraped our palms. It hurt like hell, but at least we were both laughing. We walked over to the ledge, where everyone was crowded around. A leader was standing on the ledge, his expression cold and fierce. He’s wearing a black garbs, that has weapons on both sides. His head is balded, and his body masculine. My eyes scans the area, and figured out that we are in a ruined castle. A gulp escape my mouth when I recognized the Prince on the corner. He’s not wearing the same clothes he wore at The Hub. I wonder if he ride with us on the train. I saw the scratch on his black shirt, and ripped jeans. He recognized me, and smirks. What is he doing here? I didn’t know that the heir can have a block. He’s probably thinking why did a clumsy girl ended up in a Combat block? I can’t blame him for thinking of that.
"Today, you get to use what we call the 'back entrance'. To enter, you have to jump. Anyone vying for the first jumper spot?," he asked, looking around smirking at the Magus, whose faces were in fear. The Combats born stepped back and the transfers were in full vision of the leader, as if they wanted a show out of us inexperienced transfers from different blocks.
"I'll go," I said, surprising both the Prince and my brother. Who looks at me.
They made way for me, their eyes curiously looking at me. I look at the black hole, I could barely look at the bottom of it. A mixture of fear, and excitement fills my guts. If I have to pretend that I am one of them, I need to start acting like them first. I jumped over the ledge, embracing myself and shut my eyes closed, as I dived into oblivion that is the whole of this ruined castle. It’s either I’ll make it alive, or not.
