Finding him wasn't my job, so when Ethan called to ask where Bincenjo was, I cut the call. Gue called me for the evening usual chat and she didn't utter a word about it. Until Swan did, sounding depressed as f**k. "What is it?" "Today's shot was great" I cleared my throat, "That is not a reason to sound like that" "Yes, but Vincenzo is" She groaned, and mumbled something, that crushed under the weight of her face on the pillow. "You sure his name is that?" I was cent percent sure, and hearing her sadness, a bitter disappointment started to leak in as well. Having him revolve around my life, even though he left, was a matter of fact stupid and irritating simultaneously, since there was no doubt he had taken the wrong turn and landed in my house. Though he didn't steal, KIddo made him a meal and gave it in my plate. Meaning he ate from the same plate I did. "Kenzo is still searching. Seems unlikely such a person exist. There is a high chance he is a tourist" I was chewing the end of the pencil, at the comfort of my messy house, trying to get the next word to a random plot, while Swan went on and on. "I feel saaaaaaaad, Viv" "Oh lord, ask Kenzo to stop." "But Vivian, I- The door thumped in large knocks. I felt the world collapse at the sounds of my house vibrating. Who would be here at this time of the day? The sun was about to set in .......approximately two hours. I straightened my hair, ironed my clothes with a deep press of my palms and stumbled upon the door. Since I didn't have a doorhole, I really couldn't look who was here. The door flung open before I even turned the knob. My heart flew out of its cages. Long, six feet, in the everlasting tuxedo who care for years and still look magnificent, stood before my messy ass, the exact same way he had left, except for a shabby hair that flew to his shoulders and a bunch of tiring dark circles. Kiddo looked humanly exhausting. Tuxedo and Kiddo looked equally agitated to see me. Though Kiddo's smile warmed my presence, someone was still not managing to look me in the eye. "Can we....have some water?" I reminded myself, I looked worse than the two and slapped my head. Kiddo misunderstood and started to apologise 'Its fine, we are so sorry..I never knew you would- "Oh no, Come in!", I denied instantly, clouds of doubts and confusion rising, on why I was ready to let them in. The door shut behind me, and my eyes zeroed on a person who sucked the breath out of my lungs. My bitten nails and Tee, and shorts started to make this a skin show, guessing how he least scrutinized me, and scrampled to the kitchen for some water. The two drunk it down one go. Kiddo especially thanking the lord, after that. "What happened? You guys look tired" Vincenzo had taken the same wooden chair and didn't utter a single word. Most probably, he was still pissed about the bullshit I gave him last day. "Sorry" His turquoise depths of oceans met mine. "I am sorry for last day", my fingers went for the lice in my head, embarrassment and regret washing in, "I shouldn't have behaved that way, but it was for the first time, I had visitors in like years. Altogether the trauma of living alone and, robbery stories of the village must have messed up my head" His lips turned into a line. Luck smiled wide, "That's okay, we totally get it" Right. I sat on the floor, next to the door and crossed my legs. "What are you guys here for, by the way?" Vincenzo as his name sounded, looked like a scary lion the entire time Kiddo introduced the reason for their visit. "We came to see a client of ours. Once we meet her and talk matters, we leave" "Oh, okay. Is that how you mistake me for the clien- "Vincenzo doesn't make mistakes, to add to the point" That was the first line he spoke all day. I looked at him and agreed, "I could gather that sir. But humans make mistakes all the time. May it be from visiting the wrong house to giving the wrong person information, we all do silly stuff" His eyes shone for a spur of the moment. "Can we have some.........food?" I looked at Luck, "You cook?" He nodded, "The best flavors" "I will help" It would be nice to have someone to cook with. Luck took the offer and we gradually made it to the kitchen. Vincenzo didn't even move from that chair, the entire on hour we had fun. We made rice noodles, chicken pepper and sliced fruits. I helped with the cutting and grinding, while he did the cooking. "How did you learn cooking?" Luck smiled, "In our home back there, cooking is a must for every assistant gem. Since I got promoted last year, I got the chance to learn how to experiment with flavors." "That's great" We served and startedeating immediately. The minute, the food reached my mouth, I couldn't stop complimenting. "Luck, your amazing! This is soooooooo good" "You should cook for me again!" I giggled at the scent of fresh food. Being a loser at making my own foods, I often accustomed to bread and jam, cupcakes and chappatis, which were easy and go-to. A proper meal from home was a long term goal and Luck had brought that luck with him. My eyes rested on Vincenzo who hadn't said anything yet. "How is it?" He looked up from a half eaten plate. "Okay" What? The mood darkened as Luck bowed softly and continued eating. "Are you kidding me? Its so good" "Umm..its fine", Luck wanted to steer off the matter immediately, but I felt so taken aback to let it go. "We worked an hour to make this, and he has done a brilliant job" Vincenzo's tongue rolled. "I don't care. It is his job to make me food, and I eat it." "So?", I put my fork down, "Even if he is your personal assistant, you should lend some respect" My contour switched from praising to yelling, to prying. "Why? He is my assistant, not yours" "I know that" "Then keep your mouth shut" I parted my lips in shock, "You are rude" "I know that" He stood up and washed his hands. A Gucci hanky absorbed the water. His mockery and amusement told he didn't care my words a bit. I stood there, like a frustrated monkey whose bananas were stolen and sighed. Why was my head throbbing with a sensational annoyance? As if this man wasn't getting any better with every meeting? If I dated this beast, my storyline would be worse than its current status. Not moving was better than a broken vehicle. "Leave" One word. Vincenzo's eyes bore into my soul. The V line of crossed brows and his perfect skin tone that no sun could pierce through, stood still and stern, Chiseled features, an aura of confidence, and a certain charisma that draws people in without the need for words. His quiet demeanor might add to his mystique, making him even more intriguing. He might communicate through his actions, gestures, or simply by being present, creating a sense of depth and enigma. The combination of his physical attractiveness and reserved nature can make him all the more captivating and memorable. But no, I felt nothing now. The words flew in like a hit of estrogen and adrenaline, that it took me a solid minute to close the door. Luck looked afraid. "Where are you guys off to?" "That's none of your business, woman" I took a deep breath and reiterated sheep in my head, to keep the composure of a psychologist. "Right. But you look like a shower would do good on you" His forehead creased. He grimaced. "Don't tell me you want us here" "Do you guys have a home to return to?" Vincenzo didn't say anything. Luck looked sad. He shook his head defiantly. "Great then. Stay here" The two looked equally astonished. "No" "Yes!" Both came in unison, that I fought a smile and a frown to address. "No", he frowned so hard, his muscles would cramp. "Why would we stay with you of all people?" I snuck out my fingers, "One: you guys came here out of all the people to quench your hunger. Two: we might have some misunderstandings to clear, considering I labelled you as robbers, while you ignored my privacy And three: it wouldn't cost a lot to live with me. The lodges here are .....daaaaamn expensive" Swan stayed in a suite that took 200 dollars a day. But since she was doing good for herself, she didn't really bother. But that wasn't my case. I would live happily in 200 dollars a month, so I could save more for my upcoming projects. Besides I needed the biggest help from them. That, whether I had to convey, was not yet sure when Tuxedo took a step closer. I hit the wall, my heart raised. His scent washed over me like the washing powder in the store. I felt the scent of blueberries and jasmine touch my nose, fidgeting and twitching for more. A deep inhale and my brain was fighting for words. I averted gaze, only to see his chest, hefty arms and legs, the space between them. No, don't go there. "Do you have men Tee's?" I stopped short. I nodded. His features coming closer and clearer to my ear. JYKE 'this is what winter feels like' started to play somewhere. "What's that?", his deep voice lit my insides in fire. The blue stars shone, so did his eyes. The white complexion burned in my eyes. Perfect nose, perfect lips and perfect cheeks. I travelled from his eyes to his chest. My fingers travelled there and stopped. No way. His heartbeat. "My ringtone~" He hummed, "You don't wanna take it?" I shook my head. Still, stern and ........swift. "Your heart..." He smirked, "That is my....phone" I met his gaze and he met mine. Amusement painted all over his face. "So is this it? Your ogling me?"
