I walked into the cafeteria, and the whole room went silent, which I'm used to. Jake and what's her name... Katelyn? His mate walked in right after me. I immediately spotted my mate sitting at a table by herself, looking worried; she was shaking her leg continuously again. It didn't take me long to find the other guy—the guy she chose instead of me. I didn't want to believe it last night, but after Kelsey freaked out, I left and followed her. She not only chose him. She has kids with him. I followed them a little way out of the packhouse and watched as they walked arm and arm into the night with their kids until I couldn't take it anymore and decided to stop torturing myself and had to leave.
