Sophia Over the weekend, I experienced pure bliss, from sharing a delightful dinner with my family to savoring intimate moments with Eric. Whether it was in the car or elsewhere in the house, every moment was filled with joy and love. I awoke to the sound of Eric's deep, husky voice gently whispering in my ear. "It's time to wake up, beautiful. We have an hour before we need to head to work," he said, his warm, comforting maple-woody scent enveloping me. "I don't really want to go, I feel so cozy and comfortable here with you," I pouted and gave Eric my best puppy dog eyes. "I want nothing more for you to stay home and take it easy during the pregnancy, but you did make a commitment to those companies to handle their campaign," Eric gently reminded me. I flipped over onto my back to give my limbs a good stretch before Eric helped me out of bed. We worked together to make the bed, and then I headed straight to the bathroom for a refreshing shower. After I finished showering, I brushed my teeth. As I was brushing my tongue, a sudden wave of nausea washed over me. I rushed to the toilet just in the nick of time, barely managing to make it before the bile came up. I was still standing in the bathroom, my body covered with a towel, bent over the toilet, hoping desperately that my stomach would finally empty so that I could stop vomiting. I felt the bathroom door creak open, and then a comforting warmth enveloped my shoulders as Eric's hand made gentle circles on my back. "Sophia, are you feeling alright?" he asked softly. "I'm feeling much better now, I believe that was the last of it," I told Eric. He guided me to the bathroom sink so that I could brush my teeth thoroughly once more. After ensuring that I was completely fine, Eric left me to dress myself. After leaving the bathroom and returning to our bedroom, I made sure to moisturize my skin with some cocoa butter to prevent stretch marks. Then, I selected something warm to wear as it was getting chilly outside. I discovered a stylish black ankle-length skirt and coordinated it with an exquisite long-sleeve blouse in a lovely shade of purple. Then, I combined my entire outfit with sophisticated black ankle boots featuring 3-inch heels. I simply run a comb and brush through my hair, letting it fall over my shoulders to keep me warm. Now for my face, I prefer to go without makeup, but I might add a touch of lip glaze to complete my look. As I admired my reflection in the mirror, I felt confident in my appearance and couldn't help but notice my adorable baby bump subtly showing through my attire. As I left the room and made my way to the kitchen, I anticipated finding Eric enjoying his usual morning routine of sipping on a steaming cup of coffee. Upon entering the kitchen, I spotted Eric perched on the island, engrossed in his phone while leisurely savoring his morning brew. As I stood in the kitchen doorway, I couldn't help but admire my handsome husband. "Do you like what you see, beautiful?" Eric asked, flashing a charming smile. "I always like what I see when I'm looking at you, baby," I replied with a loving grin. Eric set his coffee cup down and rose from his chair. He made his way over to me, enveloping me in a warm embrace and planting a gentle kiss on my forehead. "You look absolutely stunning today, my beautiful wife," Eric remarked. Expressing my gratitude, I thanked Eric as he lovingly caressed my growing belly. He guided me to the kitchen island and then busied himself by the stove. After a while, he returned with a sizzling plate of delicious food, serving me before sitting down beside me. Eric prepared me some runny cheese eggs, butter toast, and ginger tea. This has been my go-to food since my morning sickness has gotten worse. After I finished my morning meal, Eric and I promptly set off for work. Upon our arrival, we immediately made our way to the conference room for our weekly Monday morning meeting. The focus of the meeting was to review the progress and strategies of the current campaign we are running. We have two technology companies launching a new product a computer and virtual reality vacations that require a modern advertising approach. Additionally, there are two other companies specializing in the sale of hair products and high-end sneakers. We have scheduled all campaign launch days to take place several months from now, allowing us ample time to ensure that everything is completed and that my teams are fully prepared. This timeline will also ensure that everything is in place before I go on maternity leave, which I plan to take during the 7th or 8th month of my pregnancy. The day was very productive but long and tiring. The rest of the day went by smoothly so did Tuesday. The following day we got ready for work early because Eric, Mr. Lovenhiem, and I had a meeting with Tropical Hula which is the hair product company. Before our 11 o'clock meeting, Eric and I decided to treat Mr. Lovenhiem to breakfast at a diner located near the Tropical Hula office. We embarked on a 40 minute drive to reach the diner where we were supposed to meet Mr. Lovenhiem. Upon arrival, we found Mr. Lovenhiem already seated inside the diner, sipping on a cup of coffee as he waited for us. After we all took our seats, the server promptly took our orders. While we waited for our meals to arrive, we took the opportunity to go over our presentation one more time, ensuring that every detail was flawless. An hour later, we finished our delicious meal and settled the bill. Eager to stretch our legs, we agreed to take a leisurely stroll to Tropical Hula. Upon our arrival at the Tropical Hula office, Eric went to speak with the receptionist, Mr. Lovenhiem, while I waited at a distance. After Eric finished speaking with the receptionist, a gentleman greeted us and let us know that he would be guiding us to the conference room where we were scheduled to deliver our presentation. After a meeting that lasted over an hour, Palila Aukai, the CEO of Tropical Hula, expressed satisfaction with the progress we had made. Following the meeting, Mr. Lovenhiem returned to the F.A.C. office, while Eric and I made plans to make the most of the remainder of the day. As Eric and I made our way back to the car and prepared to leave, his phone suddenly began to ring. Eric answered the call and brought the phone up to his ear, silently listening to the voices on the other end of the line. I could hear voices coming from the other end of the phone and I anxiously waited to find out what was happening. After what seemed like a long minute, Eric finally hung up the phone. "Who was that?" I asked, feeling concerned. Eric turned to me but remained silent for a moment. "That was our lawyer," he said solemnly. "He went to the prison to meet with Rachel, but she was killed." This is insane; so what are we gonna do now that Rachel is gone? She was the only one that could confirm that Karen indeed was the one who had me taken.
