Our Rose

I had never heard my Father yell at Karen before; it was about time he had. Liam and I stayed in the kitchen just listening to a conversation between our father, Karen, and a lawyer our father was paying for.
The conversation is getting juicy and everything the lawyer is telling Karen to do or even prepare for; we can use that against her.
I truly thought our father understood what type of person Karen was. He knows she is capable of hurting people, he even knows how many lies she has told him, but he is still willing to help her.
Our father gave Liam and I the lame excuse that family needs to stick together and we must protect each other blah blah blah.
He forgets that Karen and her mother are not true Markson and both of their behaviors don't belong in our family or around our social circles.
As Liam and I listen to the conversation; the lawyer is expecting the people who Karen had hurt over the years to testify against her. I believe that's the lawyer's main concern.
I wonder what else they have up their sleeves? Liam and I took a seat at the table to join in the conversation.
It got to a point where I couldn't stand hearing Karen whining and our father being played into her hands.
Eventually, we got up from the table and left. Even though the plan for today was to relax now I'm gonna focus on getting information from Rose. Did Rose know what Karen had been up to?
"I don't know about you Liam but I'm gonna get a head start on getting some information; starting with Rose," I told my brother.
"That's a great idea to get the ball rolling. While you are doing that; I'm gonna get the names of the people Karen had hurt. Also, I'm curious to know why are you visiting Rose and why she has nothing to do with this whole situation," Liam replied
"That's where you're wrong brother. Since at the time Karen and Rose were friends I do wonder if Rose had any idea what Karen was planning regarding the a*******n or any other horrible things Karen had done," I informed Liam.
I followed Liam into his room to assist him before I left. Since some of the women I messed around with in the past knew some of the women that Karen had targeted; I gave Liam their names and numbers.
Once I had all the information, I left the house and jumped into my car. Before driving off I dialed Mr. Franklin's number.
"Good morning Mr. Franklin, sorry for disturbing you. I was wondering if it's ok if I come over to speak to Rose today? I asked Mr. Franklin hoping he would say yes.
I am the type of guy that doesn't care for people's permission. However, both Liam and I want Rose in every possible way but the only problem is getting her father to accept us both to court her and one day even marry her.
So for the time being we both have to work hard to not only win Rose over but her family as well.
"What do you need to talk to my daughter about exactly? Mr. Franklin asked sounding concerned. "Since Rose was close friends with Karen I was curious to know if she had any idea what Karen was planning," I had expressed to him.
"Rose confessed to us a lot of things Karen had her do but I don't think she told us everything. If Rose doesn't feel comfortable telling us then maybe you or your brother could get her to open up more," Mr. Franklin informed me.
After getting off the phone with him I drive straight to Franklin's home. I hope Rose will be there; it would be a shame if I miss her.
Arriving at the Franklin estate; I was greeted by their butler. I immediately asked the butler if Rose was home and he confirmed that she was.
I was instructed to wait in the sitting room while he informed Rose that she had a visitor present. This has been a long time coming; it's been many occasions where Liam and I wanted to tell Rose how we felt about it.
The only thing that was stopping us was the fact that she had a bond with Karen. We couldn't tolerate Karen in our house; let alone wanting our woman to be friends with Karen is too much.
"What do you want Luke? Rose asked looking very angry I might add. "I needed to talk to you, sweetheart; It's important," I stated to her.
"What is it that you want to talk about exactly? Rose said with anger still lingering in her voice. "May we take this conversation somewhere else; a little bit more private," I expressed to Rose.
Rose immediately left the room and I followed her as she made her way out the back door. I guess taking a stroll while we talk is good enough for me. At least we can get some alone time where I can make my move to win her affection.
Rose walked up to the gazebo to sit down on the large swing. I joined her but kept my distance so I wouldn't make her uncomfortable.
She took a deep breath and then slowly turned her body to face me. At first, she stared at the ground then after a couple of seconds her eyes finally reached mine.
"What is it that you would like to discuss with me, Luke? Rose said with a much softer tone. "I'm not sure if you know but Liam and I are trying to gain information and people who are willing to testify against Karen so she can't hurt anyone anymore," I had explained to her.
"So what exactly do you need from me? She had a questionable look on her face as she waited for me to respond. The huge question is if Rose had any idea what Karen was plotting against Eric's wife or anyone for that matter. "I wanted to know if at any time you know what Karen's plans were.
