I opened my eyes. I felt like I had been sleeping for hours, dreaming of seeing my father. Being so close to going home, failing at the last second. My eyes flew open completely as I sat up straight, remembering everything that had happened. I looked around as my breathing stopped and a huge hole formed in my stomach.
