Red didn’t sleep this day. By nightfall they entered the outpost by groups. First the demons, pretending to be looking for jobs nearby and presenting fake passages into the domes. Then, it came Cath, Nela and Red, the ones who couldn’t go unnoticed anyhow because of the way they looked. When they reached the guards at the eastern gate, the one that was as far away from the gate through which their companions entered, Red felt again the urge to step back. A strange feeling this one was, at the same time a pull to press through and fight with all that he had left, butchering whoever came his way, combined with a fear to be seen and hurt again for who he was.
