Chloe and I had dozed off earlier and had woken up feeling a little sluggish. Being part vampire, we very rarely got ill, and when we did, it didn't last long. Neither of us felt great this afternoon though. I wondered if we had been drugged, but nothing was missing that I could see, and I couldn't think of any reason for anyone to drug us. Chloe decided to go to bed early. I kissed her goodnight, and she disappeared off towards the bedrooms. I poured myself a glass of whiskey and settled down in front of the TV to watch an old black and white movie. The kitchen delivered our dinner later and I took Chloe's in to thee bedroom for her. She had slept the worst of it off and was sitting up in bed reading.
