How could I have been so stupid? Of course, she didn't hurt Marcus. I had been so blinded by my misery and fear that I had just stood by and watched as my beta attempted to defend her. That should have been me. When Council Member Perry confronted me about my actions, it stirred something in me. After that, all it had taken was one look into her eyes to know for sure.
