DAMIEN'S POV

I have never seen anything like that in my life and if someone told me that such a thing existed I would have exclaimed that they were lying and probably killed them on the spot. I watched her as she walked away wondering what other mysteries she was holding on to and why he was still refusing to open up to me. Was it a trust issue?

It was clear that she remembered exactly who she was because she had admitted it to me. . She had clearly stared that she remembered which she was but she didn’t feel like I had the right to a her anything and she was planning to tell me anything even if I asked. This only made me even more curious about her because what story was she hiding

I had already asked Will to go to the royal Court and see if he could find out anything for me but he hadn’t brought back anything yet to me. I summoned him to my office as I also made my way there, I need what I had just seen to make sense to me. I asked the doctor attend to the wolf that Victoria had just wounded.

“What is going on alpha?” Will asked me as I walked into my office, he had arrived there before I did.

“you look like you just aw a ghost” he commented.

“did you go to the royal court like I asked you to?” I asked him ignoring his own questions.

“Yes I did, I went there this morning” he said “it was kind of hard to be unnoticed while I was there though” he said

“So what did they say? Are they looking for the princess? Did you find out what her real name was?” I asked him and he shook his head.

“I had a very odd experience there, it was almost as if non-negotiable knew about her” he said and I frowned

“what do you mean they don’t know her? She was the princess right?” I asked him and he nodded

“we say that because if her scent but we haven’t seen her wolf… maybe if we…” his voice trailed off u guess he could see the expression on mh face.

“you have seen it?” he asked me and I nodded “and what was it?” he asked me eagerly

“it was…it was an alpha wolf” I said “ it’s even bigger than the own wolf” I said and I saw all color get drained from his face.

“you mean to tell me…wait…only the king or prince can have wolf that bug” he said and I nodded.

“and you are sure that she is a female?” he asked me and I couldn’t believe his question. However I can’t say I blamed him for asking it. It was a valid question because none of this made any sense to any of us.

“so you mean to tell me that she is a female wolf with a male wolf living inside of her” he asked me and I shrugged “how does she control hum?”

“she can’t, once the male wolf takes over it’s like she completely disappears. You won’t believe it until you see it happening yourself. It was like seeing two different people fighting for one body. Turning us a painful process for any wolf but it’s even worse for her, it’s like a fight” I said recalling what I had just witnessed.

“wow! I can’t believe what you are telling me. well did she tell you anything else about herself?” he asked me as I sighed.

“Nope” I said throwing myself on my chair

“d9es she still not remember anything?’

“I never believed that she didn’t remember anything, and she proved me right today. She told me very clearly that she wasn’t planning on ever telling me anything about herself ” I said

“Now I can understand why” he said “she is probably scared. I mean it’s evident that the royal Court is trying to hide the same secret that she is tying to hide. They don’t want anyone to know what is going on over there.” He said

“do you think…?” I couldn’t even finish what I wanted to ask him because it was too absurd.

“Nah….I don’t think so, do you?” he asked me, we were thinking the same thing.

“If they didn’t try to kill her then why did she end up on our shores?’ I asked him

“But then why would they ask like they don’t even know how she exists?” he asked me “this while thing is just so confusing and makes absolutely no sense” he said frustrated.

“she is the only one who can tell us the truth and she is not willing to. Maybe I should just cut her lose” I said

“I don’t think that’s wise, can you honestly say that will give you peace when we know what we know?” he asked me

“You don’t understand, we don’t know anything right now because no one is willing to share anything with us. We may be getting ourselves in trouble for all we know and the last thing I need is to be facing off with James” I snapped.

“speaking of James, you won’t believe what I heard. Can you believe that he is actually the new king?”

“What?! How can he be the king when….” I couldn’t even finish what I wanted to ask because I felt like my head was going to burst open. What the hell was happening in the royal family.

“He is not even a royal and he wasn’t even next in line. I can’t believe that everyone in that kingdom is acting like James wasn’t argue just a few years ago” he said

“Let’s sty out of it, I have already lost too much because of him and I don’t want to put anyone in danger. We have done enough digging and asked enough questions. Let’s wait for her to open up then I will take it from there” I said

“I also think you should change your approach. Stop questioning her every time you see her and don’t treat her like a prisoner.” He said but I was keeping something from him, it was the reason why I was so eager to get rid of her.

“What?” he asked me realizing that I was drifting away in thoughts.

“When my mate…” I said and he stared at me in disbelief.
