Chapter 3: Maid (3)
***
The following morning Chazz woke up to the sound of his phone ringing, he picked it up and headed out the room as to not wake up the man laying in bed with him…
“What is it, so early in the morning?” Chazz asked with a grumpy sounding voice. ‘I was having a nice dream at that… f*****g bastard…’ He thought to himself, he felt ready to chew up and spit out the person that dared wake him up so early.
“Hello! I am so sorry for not being able to answer you yesterday! We were jam packed with people and-” The man on the other end of the line was interrupted.
“Save it, it doesn’t matter.” Chazz replied as he put the tip of his fingers to the temple of his head, a headache seemed to be getting over him at the man’s mere voice.
“As an apology that we didn’t manage to send you your companion yesterday. We are willing to send any person you’d like to you today, and there will be no p*****t needed!” The man said with a nice but nervous sounding voice. After all CHazz was one of their most well paying clients, losing a man like him would be the same as them just quitting being in business as a whole.
“Wait a minute… you didn’t manage to send them in yesterday?” Chazz asked once more, if his head didn’t hurt before than it was certainly hurting at the moment.
“Yes, our sincerest apologies! The lady you requested had fallen ill and there was no way we could sent her in. We tried moving things around but it was hectic and-” Once more he was interrupted by the grumpy man on the other end of the line.
“I don’t need a replacement.” Chazz said as he ended the call to the man. He headed back inside the room to observe the man who was sleeping soundly. ‘So this guy laying in my bed… he’s not a prostitute…’ He wondered to himself.
Chazz went downstairs and rummaged through the things the man had brought with him, finding a business card inside. “TM Maid, what a f*****g dumb coincidence…” The man muttured under his breath. He hadn’t paid attention to the other’s words much and just assumed that he was from Maid Companion, which was the service he actually had ordered from but they never delivered upon.
‘This explains why his clothes were so unappealing… but… he is handsome… not to mention he ended up sleeping with me regardless… Ugh… what am I thinking about?’ Chazz wondered to himself as he ordered breakfast that morning… It was only about thirty or so minutes later that Nash finally woke up from his otherwise deep sleep.
He came down running by the stairs. “I’m so late… I’m so sorry I slept here and-” Nash nearly tripped over and fell down as he continued to apologize.
Chazz ever so calmly walked up to the man and helped him get back up on his feet. “Let’s talk over breakfast, I’m just as embarrassed about all this as you are…” He said with an almost noble sounding voice. As they both sat down at the table and ate quietly for the first few minutes, the first one to speak up was Nash…
“I’m not in trouble for sleeping here, am I? I mean you did invite me…” Nash asked with a bit of a shy and almost scared sounding voice. “Though I’m not too sure how I’ll explain it to my employer…”
“First… I know it’s obvious by now but I need to ask, are you a prostitute?”
“No? I mean I did kind of sleep with you for money yesterday but I don’t do this often… I mean I don’t do it at all!” Nash tried to explain as he slumped his shoulders, then suddenly he lifted his head up. “Wait… did you confuse me for a prostitute?!” He asked in realization.
“Yeah… Since I had ordered one the same day…” Chazz sighed a bit as he leaned into his chair. “It was stupid of me so I hope you can forgive me…” He apologized very sincerely.
“Wow… I mean… no worries man… It was just s*x anyways, not that I just sleep around or anything, then yet in a way you did do me a favors too! Since I hadn’t done it in a while myself.” Nash said, sounding a bit embarrassed.
“Then… then I guess it’s all good. But since you were here to clean, doesn’t that mean you walked into the wrong apartment?” Chazz asked as he tilted his head to the side.
“Wait…. You’re right! If I wasn’t supposed to clean your apartment then I was… oh no! My Boss is really going to kill me! How could I go out of my way to clean another, no I mean to sleep with someone instead of finding the right address..!” Nash sounded very panicked again as he held his head with both hands. “He’s definitely cutting my paycheck short!”
“Hey…” Chazz made the man raise his head again and look at him. There was something about the man’s deep voice that almost commanded attention from everyone that ever heard it. “Give me your Boss’s number.” He said in a calm manner.
“Huh? A-are you going to cover for me or something?” Nash asked a bit in a panic as he took his phone out. ‘It’s like my body’s moving on its own when he tells me to do something…’ He thought to himself as he pulled up his employer’s number.
“Yes, it’s my fault anyways so I’ll cover for you.” Chazz said as he extended his hand to ask for the other’s phone. After Nash handed it to him, he copied it on his own phone and headed to the other room to talk with the man’s Boss.
‘Woow… he’s so… cool…!’ Nash thought to himself as he smiled. Somehow he felt comforted by the other’s voice, it sounded so warm despite the man’s colder outer appearance…
Just a few minutes later and Chazz walked back into the kitchen where they were eating. “It’s good, I told him about the misunderstanding, that I’d ordered another cleaning service instead of his and that you came here because of me.”
“You really did that for me! Thank you!” Nash jumped out of his seat to hug the man. “I don’t know how to thank you for this!” He said as he looked at the man, then without thinking much about it, kissed him on the lips.
“…!” Chazz looked too stunned to speak as the other kissed him.
“Ah… sorry… I kind of did that without…” Nash looked more embrasure at that moment than ever before in his life. It was even more embarrassing than that time the guy he liked in 6th grade made fun of him for bringing OD cards to school.
(Btw OD, stands for OnlyDifference, which is another concept I’m trying to make into a novel, still working on it but it might be relevant to tell you now.)
“You can go now…” Chazz said as he looked away, acting as if it didn’t mean anything, yet somehow he felt conflicted, more than before.
“Oh, sure! I’m so sorry to have bothered you!” Nash quickly headed out of the man’s apartment after getting dressed. Leaving Chazz to wonder what exactly he’d done that night…
‘f**k…’ Chazz cursed in his mind, feeling hot from the simple kiss the man had left for him…
