Only when Rowan had finally gotten her mind to the point that it wasn't going to melt down did she go back into the restaurant. As she walked back into the dining room, she passed Glenna coming out of her office with her son Tommy hot on her heels.
“But Mommmm, we should get a dog! They are really smart and protective, and they'll come for me like the wolf did when I get lost again!" Tommy was whining at her.
“No! Absolutely not! We are not getting a dog right now! You won't even keep your room clean!" Glenna was telling him. “I'm not bringing in a filthy dog just to have to pick up after it. You know how I feel about dogs! What about a nice goldfish? We'll pick you up a nice, quiet, clean goldfish."
