Something new

                **CHAPTER 4**

Everything feels new, I love the feeling that when I wake up all I see around me is sunlight and having the urge too play a game or too put on my VR gear and play forever.

I standed up and put on Jessie's jacket and a long pants, like usual.

I head to the kitchen, before I do that I needed to start the Playstation, I want to play I Rina.

After doing that I went to the kitchen to make me something to eat and drink.

While the kettle is boiling I see my brother and Hayden sleeping on the couches, he has been staying over for quite along time even though his house is just next to us.

I started making the koffee and taking a yogurt out of the frigde.

Hayden and my brother finally woke up. My brother walked to his room to sleep in his bed but Hayden came to the kitchen.

“What did you guys do that you are so tired?” I ask him.

“We were on our phones on a online game the entire time,” he says, he rubbed his face and sits down on a chair “What did you do?” he adds.

“Sleeping and reading.” I reply

He asks if he can get a cup of coffee aswell, so I made some for him.

Later when the sun fully rised he decided to head back home.

Jame is still in his room, doing god knows what.

I decide to go to my room to start the game.

The game is really good quality and has alot of characters you can choose from, you don't normally have to play Rina herslef, but I chose her anyway.

The game has began with a story and pictures explaining it.

'My name is Rina and I was a gaurdian for king Stevan and princess Ella. My mother, Rillia was the Queen who ruled with the king. Ella is my half sister. But my mother never wanted king Stevan to know that I was her daughter. I never knew why...'

The game then had a break, the screen is black and sunddely it switched to war, screaming, shouting and alot of bomb explosions. After a while the game went further on explaining.

'When the king found out my mother has a daughter, he had her killed for dishonesty. I was banished from the kingdom and Had to survive on my own... Later on I became Queen of a very sacred ancient kingdom...'

The screen went white with more scenes of war.

'Now, the kingdoms are at war. My sister declared it since because her father died. But her kingdom isn't the only one I'm at war with... Alot of fallen kingdoms want my thrown. This kingdom made me the Queen because I have a unique ability to fight, and never lose...' it went on explaining, the last photo faded and the avatar stood in a battle field, with a sword in her hand.

I sit on the floor playing the game, Turning my body side ways to end the struggle.

“What are you doing?” Jame asks.

“Playing, I Rina!” I yelled.

I'm swetting and out of breath, I paused the game and standed up.

“What level are you on now.” he asks.

“Level 20.” I reply.

“So fast? Wow normally it takes hours to finish 5 levels. ” he tells me.

“I had some small practice. ” I said.

There is silence for a few seconds before I decide to ask my brother if he has plans.

“Nah, I'm going to play some games like usual. Remember to check out 'Stuned', the latest game.” he says to me while he walks back to his room.

I really didn't want to play any other game, only I Rina.

I sit back down on the ground, holding the remote tight and resuming the game.

After playing for while and stuggling with one level the screen went black, I didn't know why, it wasn't me who paused, neither the game.

Not long after, an broadcast came on the news, it was an interference but made by goverment.

It talked about that there's a bunch of new rules going to be updated as soon as the new head counters is done building.

They said that they are going to bring back more old stuff from the 2000's, like the months and days and so on.

It's actually cool that there's going to be things brought back, but I don't know how it would interfere with our daily lives.

Before I unpaused the game I heard knocking coming from the door.

I walk to the door, opening it slowly. Standing infront the is Alisa.

“Can I come in?” she asks.

I made a way for her so that she can walk in.

It's been a while since I've seen her, it's hard to talk to her now that I've won her in a game. We were always on a team, but now things has changed.

“I'm sorry about everything that happened with your brother and me.” she apologizes.

“No, it's fine. I should've stayed for the explanation, but my brother already explained everything. ” I tell her.

We hugged it out, but I feel like everything between us is still negative and it doesn't seem right.

“So, your friends with Widow?” she asks.

“Uh yes.” I say a little anxious.

“So, you probably friends with Ghost aswell?”

“Not exactly, but yes.”I say.

She is quiete, not making a sound.

After a while, Hayden came over and asked where my brother is.

“He's out with his friends, but he'll probably be back later.” I tell him.

“Well, I should probably go. ” Alisa says and stands up.

I walk her out of the door, Hayden came along with us.

I greeted her goodbye and she climb into her car and drove off.

“Who's she?” Hayden asks.

“Uh, she's my friend. We've known eachother for quite while.” I tell him.

“Hey, wanna go out for a drink?” he asks.

“Sure, just let me lock up, and grab a jacket. ” I say.

“Cool, I'll wait for you outside. ”

I quickly went inside and grabbed a hoodie, then I went and locked the doors.

“That was quick.” Hayden says.

“Yeah, it was, wasn't it.” I joked.

We walk side by side to Caporio café.

“So, if I may ask, what's your name?” Hayden starts the conversation.

“I'm really private about my name, but since I know you for a while, it's Jackislene but you can call me Jackie.” I tell him.

“So, do you have a boyfriend, Jackislene?”

“No, I haven't met the right one yet, and you?”

“Nha, same. ” He says and looks down to his feet.

Soon we got to the café and we went to order some drinks and then sat down around a table.

“Is this a date?” I ask him out of curiosity.

“Well, if you put in that way then, yes.” he says with a half smile.

“You know you could have just asked me on a date.”

“Would you have said yes?”

“Maybe. ” I say as a joke.

He starres at me, I wonder if he likes me, but I don't feel that vibe though.

“Did ever notice Olivia and Jessie's tatoos?” he asks.

“Yes, but what do they mean?”

“I don't know, they said that they like the drawing, they don't actually really care if it means something or not.” he reply.

The waitress came with our drinks, she kept starring at Hayden, although I didn't care that much, but hw doesn't takes his eyes off me.

She looks at me, then walks away, looking a little angry.

“Isn't she hot?” I ask him out of curiosity.

“Who?” he asks confused.

“The waitress, she kept looking at you, but you didn't notice.” I reply.

“Oh, why should I look at someone else when a beautiful women is sitting infront of me.” he says.

I didn't say anything I only complimented him on his hair.

“I like the grey in your hair.”

“Oh, and I like your red hair, it fits with your eyes.” he complements back.

I thanked him and took a sip of the drink.

“Is Olivia's hair pink?” I ask him.

“Yeah, wierd that she was born with it, same with Jessie, we don't do anything to our hair, our family's all have different types of hair colours, I don't know why. ” he says.

“Oh okay,my moms hair was black and father's was a light red, so I geuss you can see who has our parents genes. ” I say.

He looks like he doesn't have anything else to say, he's only drinking his milkshake.

“Your eyes are beautiful. It looks so sleepy and in a way it looks like your grumpy, but it's ho...” before I said anything furthermore, I noticed that I was about to say hot, and I don't wanted to say that, but I was just caught up in the moment.

“Thanks, and yours look hot too.” he says, finishing the word I wanted say.

I giggled and put my hands on the table.

“I know this is off topic, but your brother told me something that keeps bothering me.” he says.

“What did he say?” I ask him.

“He told me about the burns and scars on your legs, and I couldn't help to ask you if it's true what happened?” he explains.

“Well if he told you about the fire and stuff, than yes, it's true, but I wasn't just burned on my legs and back like he tells everyone. I was burned on multiple places, like, my stomach and shoulders, my left arm and chest. But I don't know why I'm telling you this, I never talk about it to anyone, not even Alisa knows what happened, and in a way I trust you.” I say.

“I saw your legs twice and you look beautiful, so don't hide everytime I'm at your place, but if you feel more comfortable with it, thenn it's your choice.” he tries to comfort.

“It's getting late, we should probably head back home.” I tell him, trying to change the subject.

“I geuss. Mind if I walk you home?” he offers.

“We live next to eachother, so either way we both are heading the same way.”

After our drink we headed back home.

“Hey!” Jessie yells when we got there “swe you've started playing I Rina. ” she says.

“Yeah, pretty easy.” I tell her.

She looks excited for some reason.

Her eyes glows and she is smiling bright.

The wind is blowing, the cold air ruffling our hair in every direction.

“Have you heard, they are bringing back days and months.” she tells us, excited.

“Wow after a 1000 years, their finally bringing it back. That's actually cool.” Hayden says.

“Well, I'm off, see you guys around.” I said and headed into the house.
