Reconnecting

                  ~°CHAPTER 2~°

It's cold when I woke up , kind of nice.

I got out of my bed and put on my slippers and a hoodie, I still got my sweatpants on tgat I went to bed with. I put my hair in a messy bun then headed to the kitchen to get me something to drink.

My brother still didn't come out of his room, si I think his stil mad at me.

After making coffee, I head back to my room, before I went in, I stood infront of his door and knocked.

“Go away!” he shouts.

“Can I come in?”

He shouts back with a No. I realised that his door lock is broken. So I just went inside.

“I said don't come in!” he shouts again, reminding me.

“Alisa?”

No wonder he didn't want me to come in. They were on the bed holding eachother or something. It disgusts me to think that she's my bestfriend and he's my brother. I stood there infront of them not moving a single move.

Alisa sits there starring at me. She looks ashamed of what she was doing, my brother aswell.

I sigh and walk out, closing the door slowly behind me, not even telling him were I'm going.

I went outside and looked up to the sky,

“Huh , it's snowing.” I took a deep breath and exhaled.

I took out my phone and messaged Jessie to send me her location.

I start walking to the nearby café where we first met.

After a while she finally sends me the location. I walk to her house feeling a little annoyed and sad.

“Hey, there you are!” Jessie shouts and waves at me. Her sister Ghost is sitting outside with her, smoking a siggerret.

“Hey.” I greet them both.

Ghost stood up, gives me hug and introduced herself. "I'm Olivia. Nice to meet you, and I finally got to meet the noob who beaten my sister in war treazon." she says.

I could feel my cheeks going red and the warmth of it makes me feel embarrassed.

“Come inside, I'll make you something to drink.” Jessie offered.

“Thanks. I didn't even had the chance to finish my drink before leaving.” I explained while walking with her into the house.

“How come?” Olivia asks.

“My brother and my bes... I mean friend were together.” I explain.

“It shouldn't bother you that much. Those two who were in the game, Right?” Jessie says, trying to comfort me, it's sweet- I thought.

“Yeah,” I say and took the cup she is holding for me “It's okay. It's my brothers way of pay back for winning the game he wanted to beat.”

“Yeah well, it shouldn't matter wither you beat him or someone else, a game needs to be played fare, not because you're family or friends.” Olivia says.

I look at Jessie, she looks a little upset, I wonder why.

“Oh yeah, I should probably introduce myself.”

“Wait... I want to try guessing your name, I always get it right. I'm guessing Jackie or Jackline.” Olivia says.

“It's Jackie, short for Jackislene.” I replied.

“Wierd but unique name, it's cute." Olivia complements.

I look around their house, it's big and wide, not alot of furniture but I geuss they like the open space.

“Hey you guys want to join Me?” Olivia asks.

“For?” I ask back.

“A Playstation 200 game called I Rina.” she replied.

“Sure.” I happily eccepted.

“I Rina is about a warrior girl who has a special ability to kill. It was a movie but they turned it into a game in 3001.” Jessie explains the game.

“And in 3010 it was pronounced the most unbeatable game in history. It's first prize is 700 Sp and 90 000 SpS, it's the only Playstation game that's worth this much. It has 200 levels and I'm on level 110 now. No one has ever beaten it so I'm trying to win it.” Olivia explained further.

“Wont it interfere if we play along?” I asked.

“No not really. She just sets it to the more players option, but doesn't finish the rest of the game, only the multi-player missions. People already won the multi-player so it doesn't count. You each only get 1 Sp for finishing the missions. But you can only win it once, unless you open a new account.” Olivia says.

“Cool so how do you add people?”

“You type in your gaming account and your own new password.” Olivia shows me how to sign in.

I wonder if Jessie is going to join us so asked her.

“No, I already played this like 100 times and I'm getting bored of it.” is her reply.

I feel bad, because I came to visit Jessie and not Olivia, but she doesn't look angry or upset, so I geuss it's fine.

We started the game by the castle and moved on to missions.

“Is this how it's going to be in the game if you play it alone?” I ask Olivia as I'm struggling to get shots and trying to figure out the controller aswell.

“Not quite, In the game you have to be more focused, it's different battles and missions, but basically you have to do the same what you're doing now, only alot more difficult then you'd think.” Jessie explains.

Their is silence only the sound of shooting and screaming coming from the game, it's hard to play with a controller, I'm more used to the VR gloves and strings.

“Quick, there's only one left to grab. If you can get through that squad, we win!” Olivia shouts.

After a while of tress and swetting, we finally won, “That was easy.” I said a little sarcastically and out of breath.

“Yeah, you'll get used to it. Come'on, I want to take a smoke.” Olivia says as she puts down the controller and turned of the TV, including the Playstation aswell.

We walked outside, into the touch of cold.

“It feels like Antarctica.” I said and sit down on a bench .

Jessie brings me a warmer jacket to put on, thank full I appreciated it.

“It really is cold, think its around winter time.” Jessie says.

“Winter? What is that?” I ask them confused.

“In the olden times before the end of world war 4, there were seasons.” Olivia starts telling me.

“Seaons?”

Jessie sits down next to me on the bench and starts telling me about what they mean, “From the time of the 100's and up to 2000's... Or when ever they invented time, they knew stuff like warmth, coldness, cold and warm days and even why leaves turn brown and fall of trees and why after along time, flowers starts to grow again, back then it's known as seasons, like summer- when there isn't any cold, when you can wear the shortest clothes and go outside without a jacket, after that it's autem- when it starts getting cold, leaves turn brown and fall off tree's, then it's winter- when it's freezing, snowing and you have to sleep with almost six blankets, then it turns spring- that's when flowers starts to bloom, tree's gets green leaves and the warmth comes back, after spring it turns summer again and the cycle goes on. Each season was three months long that means Plus/minus 91 days wich means almost 5460 hours. And in every year there are twelve months and 365 days sometimes 366 wich is 21900 hours, more or less”

“Wow, that sounds a little confusing. How do you know al this?” I ask.

“As kids we read alot of books that comes from an old library, containing the most oldest books of history, located in East Asia.” Jessie explains.

“You can order it on the Jenifcon app.” Olivia tells me.

I never thought about how it used to be in that time. It sounds more interesting then now a days.

I look at Olivia, her siggerret smells like garbage but she looks so bad-a*s smoking.

She starres at the sky, enjoying the last moments of the sun. Jessie is on her phone, busy with something.

I'm shivering, but they are not even flinching of the cold. Suddenly my phone rang, almost stopping my heart from beating. I wonder who it could be... Jame, ofcourse. I awnsered it while standing up to walk away from Olivia and Jessie so that I don't bother them.

*“Where are you!”* my brother shouts at me through the phone.

*“Why do you want to know, I'm safe don't need to worry.”* I told him.

*“Look, I'm really sorry about what happened. I... We feel really bad.”*

I roll my eye's and sigh, *“Uhg, just go on, I'm not coming home until I'm done.”*

*“Where are you?”* he asks.

*“I'm at a friends house, why do you want to know?”*

*“Fine, whatever. A package is here waiting for you, I'm putting it in your room. It's a big package though.”* he informes me.

*“Fine, give me 30 minutes, I'll be home in that time.”*

I need to open that package. I want to make him feel bad then he already does. By giving him what he wants - what does that do good, I thought.

“Sorry it was my brother.” I said to Olivia and Jessie.

“It's fine, not to worry.” they both said.

“Can I ask something?” I look up to the sky and then added, "What was the most worse thing that happened in the 2000's before even world war 3?"

“In 2020 there was a virus that came out and didn't dissapeare for along time.” Olivia says.

“In 2380 world war 3 took place. Not long after that, in 2899, world war 4 took place.” Jessie adds.

“Wow, that's kind of cruel, don't you guys think.”

“Yeah, it's 3020 why do we need to worry about what happened back then. It's not our fault. I'm gonna head in guys, it's really freezing and I can feel that my toes are gonna break of any second now.” Olivia says then went inside their house. I greeted her goodbye and told Jessie I'm going home. She asks if I need a ride, so I accepted.

While we were driving a noticed that a lot of people were outside, including children playing and enjoying the snow. I'm so happy to see some people outside enjoying thierselfs.

We soon reached my house. I wave at Jessie as she drives away.

“Who was that?” Jame asks.

“Jessie.” I replied.

“Yeah, because I know who that is.” he says while walking behind me in the hallway that leads to the bedrooms. I went inside shutting the door in my brothers face, nit even feeling a little sorry. Why should I feel bad when they're the ones who stabbed the open wounds on my back. I open the box of stuff that I ordered.

I put my brothers suit, the game I bought him, and gloves in my closet. I felt bad, but until he can etleast finish another game, then I'll give it to him. It's like a birthday that only happens once in a life time after struggling in games.

I put the box on the ground, not even taking out the things I bought for myself.

I lay on my bed, looking at my LED lights that's on one colour- blue.

Maybe I should play I Rina, but I don't have an Playstation. My brother doesn't have one eitheir. I went on the app whereb I ordered the stuff before searching how much a Playstation costs and the game with it. “8 000 for both.” I said surprised. That's everything I have.

Oh what the hell, I'll win everything back, I promise.

I decided to download the app, Jessie and Olivia told me about. I want to know how much the books will cost.

Soon after my brother knocked on my door, asking if he can speak to me. I told him to come in and he did so.

“I'm sorry about today, but you should you know that it wasn't what you think. We won a game on a that was alot of Sp and SpS, we were hugging then at that moment, you came in.” he explains.

“Still, you should've told me she was here, what was I supposed to think. How much SpS?”

“4000 SpS and 50 Sp.” he replies.

That's the first game that makes up a lot of lost time. It took me a while but then realized, he's a level 510 now.

He went out of my room leaving the door open.

I thought that he is doing bad, but turns out I'm the one who's bad. I sighed and decide to give him the stuff I ordered.

I put everything into a box and walk towards the kitchen, it's just a shame we don't have a livingroom.

He is sitting on a chair, busy on his phone. When he noticed me, I already sat the box next to him.

“What's this?” he asks.

“It's a birthday gift.” I replied.

“Oh, my birthday already? How come?” he asks while he opened the box.

“You've won a game after almost like a decade. Besides I feel really bad.”

He looks at me a little surprised.

“Oh my god, an experience suite, and brand new gloves. Thanks sis.” he says out of joy while giving me a hug.

“That's not all.” I took out the game I was hiding under my jacket and give it to him.

“Oh my, my... Is that the SGO bot game in VR?”

“Yeah, there was this one and then the Playstation one aswell. But I know we don't own such a thing.”

He doesn't have any words to say. He only looked thankful, his blue eyes sparkles like the starrs at night.

“Hey bro can I borrow some SpS?”

“Why? And how much?"

“Well there is a few this books I want, but it costs 2000 for all.” I reply.

“Oh Where's all yours?” he asks.

“I ordered a Playstation 200 for the game I Rina.”

He looks happy about me ordering, now he actually can play all his Playstation games.

“Okay, How much did all of this cost?”

“For your's, about 3500.” I reply.

"I'll send you 4000 SpS, only because you earned it."

I thanked him and grabed a glass to throw some water in.

"So are you going to tell me who Jessie is?" he asks.

“Oh Jessie is a friend.”

“Yeah but what's her gamer tag?”

“It's a secret, sorry but I don't want to tell you.” I reply then took a sip of my drink.

"It's Widow, isn't it?"

"No, ut doesn't matter." I quickly said then went back to my room.

He can't find out that I'm friends with Widow or Ghost, it'll ruin everything. I'll find out if its okay with them if I can tell him, but I know who my brother is, he doesn't keep his mouth shut, specially when it comes to famous game players.

I went to bed because it is really cold. I put on my heater then went to climb under thr blankets, before I climbed in, I noticed that I still had Jessie's jacket on, I took it off and sat it down on my desk in my room.

Hopefully when I wake up the books that I ordered and the Playstation with the the game will be here, but usually it comes within 10 hours or more after ordering it.

I really want to begin reading the book aswell as playing I Rina. It's worth playing since it's a lot of SpS and Sp.

I hear my brother's slippers dragging on the floor, making a screech noice after it, while he is walking slowly through the hallway. He then knocks on my door asking me to open it.

“I brought you some hot chocolate. ” he says and hands me the mug.

“Thanks, but I already had enough to drink today but I'll still take it, you know I never say no to a hot beverage.”

I'm wearing a short pants with an thin over sized t-shirt, so I quickly went to bed after putting down the mug. My brother sat on my bed while looking down to his mug that he is holding tight for the warmth.

“Can you go grocery shopping when you wake up?” he asks.

“Sure...I'll see what I can do. What do we need?”

“The usual stuff, like milk and tea, you know. I'll send you more SpS. Did you already order the books?"

"Yeah. It said that it will arrive in less then 9 hours. I still have SpS left, the books only cost 2000.”

“I know, but I don't need anything else and I already paid off most things, so we just need more food. Besides the rest of that is for you.” he says then smiles. He's smile looks a little forced, like he isn't really happy.

“I was actually planning to save up, for a better house. Since we don't pay rent and everything is paid once off.”

“Don't worry about those types of things, we are living a good life. The only thing that killed my budget is the update for my gaming account. Well I'm heading out tonight, I'll be back before the sun rises. I already sended yoh the SpS.”

He sstood up, while pulling up his jeans. Before he left my room, I asked “Where are you going? ”

“Well, my friend Kyle is throwing a little get together for the boys. I won't be far away...Call if you need anything. ” he says then heads out of the house.

When he left I quickly went to make sure the door is locked. We had a few breakins in this neighborhood.

I went to the bathroom to use the tiolet. After using it I washed my hands. I look up to the mirror then I ruffled my curly red hair, admiring my face feuters.

I put of the all the lights in the house then went straight to my room. I instantly fell asleep after climbing into my bed.

**Next day**

I woke up from someone banging on the door. The sun already rised, so it's probably my brother, if it's not then it's the delivery guy. Usually it's not the same guy, always someone different or new.

I slowly walk towards the door, not noticing that I didn't put something on to cover my legs with.

The banging still went on so there isn't enough time to go back to get pants.

I open the door a little fast, a tall young guy is standing there with a Jenifcon box.

“An order for a Ms Rider.” he says.

I stuttered for a moment, my tongue keeps twisting the words I tried to say. I didn't want to make a fool of myself infront of this handsome man...standing close intfront of me.

“Uh- yeah that's me.” I said, feeling embarrassed.

“Okay, just sign this paper then I'll be on my way.” he says and hands me the paper I needed to sign.

I realised I didn't have a pen with me, neither do delivery guys bring it with them.

“I don't have an pen with me, do you mind if I quickly sign it inside. You can come in if you want.” I tell him and invited him in.

He hesitates at first but decided to pic up the box and came inside.

I told him where he can put the box down anywhere he likes.

“I was thinking of moving to this neighborhood. ” he says while walking behind me.

I walk to the table to grab a pen, “Really, it's a little doggy here, but it's a great place to live in. You'll injoy it.” I tell him, for some reason it's like I'm trying to convince him to move here. He's voice sounds a little fermiliar, like one of the gamers that's always on my team.

“Maybe, I'll see.”

We both noticed the the other delivery guy standing at the door.

“Well, I should probably go, but it's nice meeting you, Red fox 101.” he says then quickly leaves.

He knows my gamer tag, how? We change our names on everything including our delivery identity.

“An order for Ms Rider.” the other delivery guy said. I signed the paper and took the box, shutting the door with my leg behind me.

The first box had the books in and the second had my Playstation and game in.

I took both boxes to my room.

I started packing out the boxes and setting up the Playstation to my TV. I always find it hard to connect my TV to other things. I usually ask my brother, but he isn't here right now so I'm gonna have to do this on my own.

After struggling for a while I decided to search on the Internet how to set this thing.

Can't believe that I'm struggling like this, these things aren't that complicated.

“Hey sis,” my brother greets and leens on the door “What are you doing?”he asks.

“Oh, grate your here, help set this up.” I ask him.

“Before I do that, there's this house I want to check out.” my brother tells me.

“Oh, a house to move in? ” I ask.

“Yeah. I've been thinking about what you said about saving for a new house. So I found a place that fits with my budget. Wanna go check it out with me?”

I happily eccepted. I hope it doesn't cost to much, otherwise I won't expect my brother to buy it. But luckily when we move out of this house we get the our last paid rent back.

I quickly stood up and put on Jessie's jacket she lend to me. My brother is already walking out the door.

“How much does it cost?” I ask him.

“12 000 SpS. ” he replies.

“Isn't that a little to much?” I ask worried.

“No. I have 30 000 SpS, plus the 8000 we get in return for the paid rent. ”

My brother doesn't seemed worry, he usually feels this way when he knows something big is going to happen.
