I always cry while watching romance movies. I can watch sad movies and not cry once, but as soon as I watch something with this happy ending, I cry. It is happy tears, but I have recently come to realize that the reason I keep crying through the happy endings is because I want that. I want someone who makes me smile the way Solène smiled at Hayes at the end of ‘The idea of you’ when he came back for her after five years. I want someone that makes me feel like Bea when Ben does that big show of jumping into the ocean from a cliff, just so that he can show up on time to impress her in ‘Anyone but you.’ I want that love that makes you do crazy things in the hopes of having your feelings returned.
