Chapter Thirteen
My chamber is comprised of a main room... quite large and well equipped... surrounded by a dozen cells. Currently six are occupied, each containing one belligerent inmate, or in Bobbie’s case formerly belligerent inmate. It is possible, and diabolically intended, that my charges can peer across the open main room and view each other. Thus, a recent arrival such as Toby can observe others in various stages of being broken... the likes of Bart who remains incorrigible but stiflingly well restrained ... and the likes of Bobbie whose will is thoroughly shattered and is nearly ready for his new home in cell block C.
