“WHAT are you doing here?!”
Kade’s voice rang across the open air of a second-floor corridor in front of a row of apartments. Eyes wide with disbelief and anger, he was looking at a disturbingly familiar woman standing in front of the door that was his own destination.
Equally wide-eyed due to shock, Mei stared back at him.
“Are you actually a goddamn stalker, you—”
“ME?!” Mei managed to cut in, her voice ringing loud as well.
It was the weekend, just a few days after Mei and Ren’s meeting at the coffee shop that had ended in rage and tears. While most people wouldn’t still be asleep at this time, it was still only mid-morning.
Neither seemed to care about that fact as Mei continued to shout, “Aren’t you the one who’s stalking me? What on earth are you doing here?!”
