Though Mrs. Ashford wanted to agree, she hesitated. They barely had enough money to cover the hospital bills, let alone all these costly tests.
Guessing what was running through Mrs. Ashford’s mind, the medical director hedged, “As for the costs… if you agree to let your son become the subject of a case study, the hospital will cover all the expenses for the tests, along with the entire duration of his hospital stay.”
