"Dad…" a young man called from his hospital bed, on either side of which his wrists were tightly strapped.
This had been the case ever since he'd tried and nearly succeeded to escape from the hospital, a single goal in his mind.
"Dad, don't do this…" the young man continued imploringly. "Just let me see him, please… I'm sure there's just been some mistake. How can he not be my bonded mate…?"
It was the third day since Rhys had woken up from his coma. Aside from when he had attempted to escape the day before, he had never been out of the four walls of this hospital suite. Denied access to his phone, he didn't know about so many things that had been going on in the world outside.
Right now, it was only him and his father in the suite he had been brought to three days ago.
