The morning was cold, but the sun promised to warm everyone in a few more hours; Meadow woke up slowly, and as she stretched her body and moved to the side, she found Caleb’s place empty. She perked a brow and slowly sat on the bed, looking around for him. There was no trace of his essence and mind, which was a bit strange, but not completely unusual. She slid her feet into the comfortable slippers and walked to the bathroom to do her morning routine; a shower, not a bath, and then brushing her teeth.
