“I would spit in your face if there was a possibility for me to produce spit… but for now, this is the best I can do…” Aeneas sank his fangs on the shoulder of his opponent and he screamed, just as he himself fought back and sank the talons in his chest. “That will leave a scar…”
“You and I both know good and well neither of us will win in this fight… why do you want to push the limit of my patience?” the attacker growled at Aeneas just as he received a hit in the guts.
“Back off from what you said you wanted to do… and I will stop…” Aeneas repeated just before he sent another hit to the man’s throat.
The man bent over and coughed; for vampires, a hit in the throat seemed to have the same result as a hit in the groin would do to a human. He started coughing blood and then he grunted. He tilted his head slightly to meet Aeneas’ eyes and growled.
“Tis not what I want… tis what I will do… and you won’t stop me from meeting my Anima Alterum…” His eyes glowing with a deep blue essence.
Aeneas sighed. “Cyrus… be reasonable… she is already mated, married, and pregnant… I beg you to leave this crazy infatuation aside… If I had known you would behave like this, I would have never…”
He was cut mid sentence by an almost deadly blow to his shoulder, leaving him stumbling and in pain. “Don’t you dare call it an “infatuation”... after millennia… you don't think I would recognize my pair?! If it wasn't for our bond, you would be dead by now for such insult…”
He slowly began to walk away from Aeneas as he laid on the floor coughing and spitting, struggling to breath.

*Meadow*
I sigh and feel the gentle breeze of the ocean caressing my body; I didn't want to wear something so revealing, but surprisingly Caleb wanted me to wear a bikini to show off my small belly. I think I know why he wanted to wait a few months before we actually left for our honeymoon. He was waiting for me to show my pregnancy so he would not have to worry other humans looking at me. I shake my head and chuckle, even though no one would dare to look at me with him around, he still was behaving like an insecure new boyfriend.
Carter’s gift to us was this beautiful trip to this paradise we came to know as Bora Bora island, now we are in this beautiful cabin over the transparent waters, enjoying the calm and the peace it came with it’s setting. The hotel has a big two story building in the shore, but every room is actually a cabin floating nearby. Inside our cabin, everything is simple and yet fantastic; a white wooden bed with soft sheets, pillows everywhere. Even the weather here since we arrived has been fantastic, and I love leaving the windows wide open and to see the curtains fly with the breeze. Caleb thinks I am being emotional, creating this romantic vision. But I really enjoy it, I feel like I am in a movie.
“You know movies are made only from people who wish for things they can't have…” Caleb surprises me as he leans and kisses my lips.
“Unless you want us to have our first big argument as a married couple, leave the movies alone…” I half warn him and he grins, for a moment I think he will actually continue with his teasing, but then he raises both hands as a sign of defeat. “Good boy” I tell him and he chuckles.
“Are you ready to go snorkel today, Princess?” He asks me as he heads to the bathroom, I sigh, watching his naked body as he turns his head with a wide grin to blow me a kiss.
Our connection is an amazing gift, I know how to put my walls up to shield myself from him but he catches me, as always, with my guard down because I usually enjoy having our connection. I enjoy everything we do and he loves to watch me or feel me close. It is a level of intimacy we both treasure.
“I am ready to go yes, but I will just watch you, I don't like water so much… I mean, not diving in it at least…” I feel him nod at my statement and I relax for a couple more minutes in bed. I close my eyes and rub my belly in circles, then I felt Caleb staring at me from the door, his eyes delighting in my hand’s movements, his smile soft. This is why I love our bond, I can feel him just as much as he can feel me.
“Maybe we can just stay here longer, I don't mind…” He whispers and lays next to me, his hand rests on top of mine and we both play circles over my belly, caressing our children. He leans closer and kisses my belly tenderly, the gesture alone moves me almost to tears, and he smiles up at me. “You are going to be such a great mother, I just know you will…”
I smile as a few tears escape my eyes and he rubs them away. “Let's go… I want you to have fun as well…” I say and move up quickly before he refuses.
By noon we were both laughing so hard, I was in the water with my bikini on, and he was snorkeling around me. Every now and then he would tickle my thighs and I would swat his hand or push his head lower. There were plenty other tourists around us and some would laugh at us as well. ‘Love… we are hungry…’ I whispered to him mentally and he popped his head up, removing the snorkel from his head.
“Then let's go feed my family…” He grinned and took my hand.
We reached the hotel’s bar and restaurant on the private beach and ordered some drinks and snacks. We had been eating at the same spot since we arrived and the bartender already prepares for me a nice tall cherry and strawberry juice, and to Caleb there was a special cup of a wine he brought with us; a Domaine De La Romanee-Conti, Grand Cru, from 1983. It took me a full day to recover myself from the shock of knowing how expensive this wine was, to know it came from Aeneas as a gift made it less shocking.
We sat on our reserved table in a small gazebo covered in white silks, and the waiter brought us a menu to order. The last week has been like this, doing some activity here and there, either riding on the beach and sand dunes, or exploring the island with a private guide. We would always come to have lunch here and then relax in our cabin until diner. I couldn't be happier, I loved everything and I knew I was having the best time of my life with Caleb, but I was starting to miss home, our pack, and my wolf wanted to run free again, something I wasn't able to do here.
“Well, we have two more days before we go back, what would you like to do?” Caleb pulled me out of my thoughts, which I shielded carefully from him.
“Surprise me… anything you want…” I smiled and his eyes glowed with excitement.
I could not believe how adorable was to see him so happy and excited when we arrived; everything we did was new and just like a child, it was the best thing in the world. Far from the busy life as an entrepreneur and pack leader, he was free and this world has become his playground.
I was laying in the hot tub when I heard something break. I carefully got up and called for Caleb. “Love, is everything ok?” But he didn't reply. I opened my shield of emotions and shuddered when I couldn't feel him. ‘Caleb… please answer me…’
I wrapped myself in a big towel and carefully walked out of the bathroom; there were broken glasses next to our bed and I gasped as I lifted my eyes to find Caleb unconscious with his head bleeding, and a creature on top of him. How did I not sensed him?
The man is a vampire, and his blue eyes glow unnaturally. I shiver as he looks directly at me, and for some reason, I can't shift. I struggle to find my wolf and she is silent. “Who are you… what are you?” I growl at him and his face is expressionless.
He stands and begins to walk towards me, forcing me to redraw. “Stay there, don't get any closer. I warn you…” I begin to threaten him and he keeps staring at me, his jaw tensed now.
He is about to touch me when I feel something familiar; that powerful darkness that I came to trust. Aeneas’ body suddenly stands between the man and me and I feel myself breathe again.
“I warned you Cyrus… leave her alone… now you are forcing me to chose sides…” Aeneas begins and I can feel they are both familiar with each other; not only for the way he spoke to him, but also because I could sense a similar aura between them.
The man spoke. “Brother… I will forget our bond if you do not step away from my Anima Alterum…”
I gasped; this man was Aeneas’ brother? And he hurt Caleb… and now he was after me. ‘Caleb… please… I beg you… love… wake up!’
