Alpha Annie’s POV
As the cars disappear out of sight, I stand there for a moment in shock. Totally blindsided by what has just happened. He had me convinced that he was a good person deep down. He had me convinced that I meant something to him. When all this time… it was just some sort of plot to satisfy his lust. Urghhh how could I have been so f*****g stupid? I have never been the type of woman to chase after a man and I sure as hell am not about to start now.
“Annie are you alright?” Josh asks cautiously, pity evident in his tone.
This only adds to my fury, my determination to stamp the memory of last night from my brain completely.
I suck in a deep breath and fix my face in a neutral expression as I turn to face him.
“I’m fine Josh… as you heard. It’s nothing.” I answer flatl
