"Looking for the Matthews family?!" Charlotte was shocked. "Dad, are you out of your mind? Do you really think John will come to your rescue?"
Christopher replied, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend, and that applies to John as well. With such a golden opportunity in front of us, I refuse to believe he would let it slip through his fingers."
Christopher clenched his fists.
He was determined to settle this score with Yosef.
Diana walked out with her phone and, as soon as the call connected, she transformed into her sweet, loving wife persona.
"John, what's up?"
On the other end of the line, John's icy demeanor softened slightly. He seemed unaffected by today's events based on her tone.
He slowly asked, "Where are you?"
"I'm at Ben's place, getting ready to have dinner."
