James looked her over, thoroughly satisfied.
"What... What are you looking at? I'm telling you, I'm not afraid of you!"
Wide-eyed, Leah glared at him cautiously.
Then she turned to Colin, "Colin, don't worry, I'll protect you!"
Seeing this, James finally realized something was off.
"You little rascal, what's going on here?"
Colin's eyes shimmered faintly.
Keeping it a secret was no longer an option.
He reached out, clasping Leah's hand. "Leah, you've got it wrong. He's my dad."

The fierce old man in front of her was Colin's father?!
Leah's hand trembled.

"My dad and I were just fooling around, Leah. Could you go back to the room for a bit?"
Colin's tone was gentle.
"Uh, sure."
Leah hesitated for a moment.
