Her heart began to race.
Inside John's bedroom, he casually removed his suit jacket and tossed it onto the sofa. Then, he retrieved a robe from the closet.
Standing by the bed, he loosened his tie, looking down at Diana from his elevated position.
It was as if he was sizing up his prey.
Diana's heart skipped a beat, and she blinked. "What are you doing?"
"Taking a shower," John replied succinctly.
Diana's mind went blank for a moment, and she stammered, "What about me?"
At his words, John's beautiful eyes narrowed slightly. "Would you like to join me?"
Diana was left speechless.
Before Diana could reply, John reached out, gently caressing her face, his fingers tracing her red lips. "It'll be over soon, don't be impatient," he whispered.
