Before I could reply we heard a giggling coming from the direction of the kitchen. The women were obviously having a good time clearing the dishes! “Well?” Spencer asked. “Definitely!” I told him. He grinned and raised his glass. We c*****d a toast, and I sipped the whisky. It was very, very good. We chatted about the idea of polymer-based solar cells for a while. Then something occurred to me. “They’re a long time in the kitchen. Do you think we should give them a hand?” I asked. “I suppose so,” Spencer sighed. He got to his feet. “Time for a top-up anyway.” “Well, this is my second already!” I chuckled. “It’s fantastic whisky, by the way.” “Highland Park. One of my favorites,” he told me. We ambled into the kitchen, but found it empty. The dishes seemed to have been stacked away
