I swallowed hard. “Did Mum notice?” I asked. “She’s out like a light, so you’re in luck!” “Look, Dad, it’s not what you think,” I began to say. “Listen mate. I think Angie’s a cracker, I really do. If I was your age…anyway, I don’t know what’s goin’ on with you and Laura, but I just hope you’re being sensible, that’s all.” “I promise I am, Dad. It’s just that Angie’s missing her…I mean…the person she’s going out with.
