11 Vigil A few hours after getting home from the shack, I noticed Michelle sitting on her back porch. Alone in the falling twilight. Nothing but a mug in her hands which meant she wasn’t interested in company, including social media, but I didn’t give a f**k. I grabbed a beer from the fridge and went outside, instantly drawing her attention. She waved, and even though I didn’t take it as an offer to join her, I sauntered across my lawn to the corner where the two met. “Nice night.” I went for small talk across her smaller backyard.
