Rise And Shine
Raedrick awoke feeling fuzzy-headed; his sleep had not been particularly restful. Those memories intruding on his dreams prohibited it. For a few seconds, as he lay there in the darkness, he considered just forgetting the silly notion of heading up into the mountains after this man and going back to sleep. But duty called, so he pushed himself up to a sitting position and rubbed at his eyes, removing the last sleep from them.
At least he did not have a headache. His mouth was dry and a sour taste lingered on his tongue, but aside from the slightly-fuzzy feeling that comes from inadequate sleep, his head was fine. Better get moving before that changed.
