CHAPTER 19
Fifteen minutes later, showered and a little more relaxed than she’d been after her meeting with the Voice staff, Kennedy made her way back to her room. She could hear Willow and Nick fighting from the opposite side of the hallway. Of course, some of that had to do with her roommate’s frustrating habit of never shutting the door entirely, but she couldn’t remember the two of them getting so heated in the past.
“Who do you think you are, blaming him for what happened?” Willow shouted.
They both fell silent when Kennedy entered the room. The heat from their argument hung heavy in the air like smog. Neither one acknowledged Kennedy as she made her way to her bedside and began putting away her toiletries.
