When I awoke, I could see the sun was rising on the horizon through the windows. I sat up, rubbing my eyes before glancing at the sheets beside me. It didn’t seem as though Felix had come to bed last night. I guess the brothers were still getting acquainted. At least it was a Saturday, which meant the twins could do whatever they wanted—within reason—and I could start thinking of what to do for Thanksgiving dinner next week. Would Frank stay around that long? I freshened up in the bathroom, dressed in old jeans and a sweater before heading to the kitchen to start breakfast. I could hear the boys chattering in the back of the house—probably plotting something devious—but there was no sign of Felix or Frank, and their scents were faint. I didn’t see them outside either.
