Chapter 3 I Wake up

After closing the door, David dared not face Josie. Fortunately, the rice was ready. He immediately went to the kitchen," The rice is ready. I'll cook some dishes."

In a hurry, the food finally was put on the table.

Looking at the stir-fried slices which looked so-so, Josie was surprised, "I didn't expect that you really know how to cook. I didn't know it before."

David smiled bitterly. Could he say that he was not the person before.

"I felt ashamed before, so I didn't tell you."

Josie pursed her lips and smiled, "It's delicious."

Then she took fifty from her pocket and gave it to David.

David looked at Josie suspiciously.

"You cook in the future. Take the money to buy some food. If you want to smoke, you can also buy a pack."

She said, struggling a little, and added, "Be careful with money. Don't buy the pack worth 10. You have known it that I have to pay the rent this month."

After hearing her words, David waned to give himself a slap in the face.

He had tried his best to infer how terrible the previous man was. But unexpectedly, he underestimated the man.

A crap home buddy that only knew to play games not only had no money and couldn’t pay the rent, but also was raised by his wife and smoked every day! The worst thing was that he even wanted his wife to have an abortion!

Taking a deep breath, David restrained the impulse to kill himself. He asked, "What about you? What about tomorrow?"

"I'm going to work tomorrow. I ask for leave today and I'm going to catch up tomorrow."

"Will you take a taxi?"

"I get up half an hour early and just walk. It saves money and I can exercise."

David was silent. He put away the fifty and handed over the one hundred he had.

This move really scared Josie a little.

She looked at him like a monster, "What are you doing?"

"I take 50 and you take 100. You'll go to work and take the bus for work. Eat better at noon." David said in a low voice.

She instinctively wanted to refute. After all, for both of them, it was basically half a month's living expenses. They must save.

But David just put the money firmly into her hand, "Don't worry! I'll go out to look for a job tomorrow. We will have a better life."

"The fifty I have is enough for me to eat for several days."

"I don't smoke anymore."

Josie looked at David in disbelief.

It was inconceivable that he changed so much today.

He changed so quickly.

Because this was different from David half a day ago.

If she hadn't been with him all the time, Josie even wondered whether this was someone else.

Josie's eyes made David feel that he was seen through. He was a little flustered for no reason, quickly stretched out his hand and pinched her beautiful nose. He said softly, "What? Scared by my change? Don't worry. I already wake up."

When she head this, her eyes turned red for a moment.

She wanted to hear him say this for many times and she didn't expect that it really came true today.

She felt that all her suffering was worth it.

After dinner, David g washed up the dishes and chopsticks, washed the dishes and swept the floor first. Although he was clumsy and hurried, Josie was so happy.

It was rare for her to sit there quietly and look at his figure and smile.

In the evening, she took a bath in the separated bathroom. The sound of running water made David very flustered.

Seeing the computer, she had an idea. He came forward and turned it on to see if there were any job advertisements.

The water stopped and Josie came out wrapped in a bathrobe.

Seeing him sitting in front of the computer, she immediately frowned, "Do you want to play games?"

David quickly turned around, shook his head and explained, "No, no, I want to see if there is any recruitment information."

When he turned his head, he saw that she was taking off her bathrobe and putting on her pajamas.

He saw all her body.

David's face turned red.

"Oh, I'll go to bed first. Stay up less." Josie said no more. After going to bed, she slept facing the wall.

"Yes." David nodded, patted himself gently on the cheek, dispelled the scene in his mind, and then forced himself to read the online recruitment information.

Through the conversation in he afternoon and subtle approach, David learned that he was only an undergraduate of a third-rate university, and he had forgotten everything he had learned because he was addicted to games. So he had no work experience.

The online recruitment information was either too demanding or unreliable.

This made David worried. Finally he knew that finding a job was not as easy as he thought.

In this way, David sat there until twelve o'clock. Then he couldn’t hold on. He stared at the screen and kept dozing off.

He turned to look at the bed. Josie faced the wall and breathed slowly. She should have fallen asleep.

Hesitating again and again, David still carefully went to bed, lifted a corner of the quilt and went in.

Clearly beside him was his wife, but David still felt as if he was a thief.

Suddenly, Josie turned to David.

David was helpless, "Didn't you fall asleep?"

"I already wake up." She said, "Do you restrain your desire for a long time ?"

David was stunned at first, and then his face turned red. Josie... What did she mean?!
