It took me some time to calm down after Cam left the ward. I had two more appointments and I had to be at my best. Cady came as expected after our morning meeting, all ashamed and timid. But as much as I wanted to laugh out loud at her antics and her lack of caution, I couldn't find even an ounce of sarcasm.
I simply checked her throat, asked all the necessary questions and let her leave my office with advice to stop her activities for a while and maybe focus on her professional job, rather than continuing her risky behavior.
