  The chefs bowed as I entered the kitchen. I traced my hand over the counter " Good afternoon, everyone," I greeted.   "Good afternoon, my lady," They said in unison. In the days we've been here, they are all respectful and have never dared look me in the eye- I don't know why even now their necks hung low.   "You can look at me, please," I said.
