Chapter 8

"Catherine"

I have been waiting and planning the day that Kalani will be mine. Now, this b***h Nia rides her ass into town, claiming to be his Soulmate. Just because they were born with some f*****g letters on their damn bodies.

My father and I decided we would talk to Jade about an arranged marriage. Jade is always talking about Kalani's need to marry and start a family. She and my mother have been friends since the day we moved here. Kalani and I were sixteen. I have been after him since the day we came to Missoula.

Kalani's arms were wrapped around her. Every time he touched her I saw red. The movers were bringing all that beautiful furniture. The house that was supposed to be mine.

"Two Weeks Later"

Kalani has completely moved in. Mia and Lia have been spending a lot of time with Kairav. He takes them to the reservation, out to eat, the movies, and the mall. It's good to see them adjusting to everything. Moving here was the best thing for all three of us." Nia is thinking

Lia is talking more to others besides when she is mad. She is always talking to Kalani and Kairav.

Kalani and I still haven't completed the mating process. He has healed well. But he hasn't made love to me. I'm ready, I have been wondering if he is having seconds thoughts. I think it's time for us to talk. I'm ready to be his wife in every sense of the way.

I decided to ask him, so I walk into the office where he is looking over some paperwork. It was either for school or his construction company. School starts in a month.

"Kalani, can we talk?" She asks sitting down in one of the chairs in front of his desk.

"Sure Princess," he said as he lays the papers down, giving me all his attention "Is anything wrong?" He stands up walking over to her to sit beside me

Nia takes a deep breath "No, I don't think so. Why haven't you made love to me?" She asks looking at him

He looks at her and smiles "I didn't want to rush you." He said still smiling

"Well, I was beginning to think you had changed your mind about us," She said looking at him

"No, I haven't. I will never change my mind about you, or us." He said leaning over kissing her cheek

"I thought you didn't want to make love to me." She said looking at Kalani

"Believe me, I have to restrain myself every day and night to keep from taking you," Kalani said kisses her forehead

"Then you should do it," Nia said pouting folding her arms

"Princess how about tonight we have a romantic dinner, go from there?" He said smiling at her

"I would like that." She said smiling

Knock Knock

"Come in," Kalani said still looking at Nia smiling

"Nia can Lia and I go with Kairav to dinner and a movie?" Mia asks as she is standing in the door

"Sure, don't let Lia eat too many sweets. Don't have her out too late." Nia said turning to look at her.

"Okay," Mia said walking out the door smiling

"Are we cooking tonight or picking dinner up." She asks Kalani

"Picking it up, then we will have dinner under the stars," he said with a huge smile

"That sounds good," Nia said smiling

Around six Nia and Kalani arrive back home from picking up their dinner. Kairav is at the house picking Mia and Lia up.

" He looks at Mia funny all the time." Nia is thinking as she and Kalani are walking to the barn.

Kalani and Nia rode their horses to the creek. The two spreads a blanket out and sitting the food out on it. He pours two glasses of Pinot Noir.

After they had finished eating. Kalani played Let's Make Love by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on his iPhone.

"It's time to head back home." He said smiling

"A little, I know you'll be gentle," She said kissing his forehead.

"I'm nervous a little also. I don't want to disappoint you." Kalani said

"You can never disappoint me," Nia said rubbing his arms

When Nia and Kalani arrive home, they put the horses up. He picks her up bridal style carrying her in the house.

Red and white rose petals are on the floor. It starts from the door, all the way to their bed. Candles are lit and soft music is playing. A plate of chocolate-covered strawberries and a bottle of Armand De Brignac champagne and two flute glasses are sitting on one of the nightstands.

Nia walks into the bathroom to change into a white lace teddy. When she walks out Kalani is sitting on the bed in a pair of white pajama pants. She walks over to the bed and sits beside him.

"Mitawa Hopa Tawicu" ( my beautiful wife) Kalani said kissing her forehead

Nia smiles "Mitawa Hopa Ce Hignaku"( my handsome husband)

He places her right hand on the N on his chest. Then he places his right hand on the K on my right thigh.

"I Kalani Matherson Sensmeier accepts Nia LaRue Westlake as my Soulmate, my wife, my lover, my friend, and my equal. I and my Bald Eagle both claims you, we promise to love, cherish and protect you. With these words, you, me, and my Bald Eagle are now one."

He kisses her, laying me back on the bed. "I love you Mitawa Tawicu" ( my wife)

"End of Call"

Nia is looking at him.

"I'm going to double-check the doors and alarm. I know if I don't you will try to get up to do it." He said looking at Nia

"I have to use the bathroom," Nia said as she tries to get up. But is so sore, she couldn't stand up that good on her own.

Kalani picks Nia up, carries her to the bathroom. He sits her on the toilet waiting until she finishes doing her business. He sits her on the sink, so she can wash my hands.

He looks in the linen closet for clean sheets, picking a light green set. He puts a robe on Nia, carries her to the chaise that's at the foot of their bed. He changes the sheets because of the blood stains. He places her back on the bed. Puts the sheets in the hamper.

Knock knock

Kalani walks over to the door to get the tacos. He sits them on the other nightstand. He goes downstairs to make sure the doors and alarm are on.

Then he comes back he starts feeding her tacos

"Kalani, I can feed myself," Nia said smiling

"I know you can, but I want to do it for you." He said kissing her forehead

Nia smiles, she sit back letting him feed her
