The Eagle's Mate

Chapter 7

Mother is sitting there taking in everything. She is looking at all the expensive furniture and original paintings.

Nia and Mia are cleaning the kitchen up. Lia is playing with their dogs.

I ask "did they need help to unpack."  

She said, "yes but I couldn't help, Cause I was going to bed."  

I smiled and gave her a peck on her soft pink lips.

Kairav said, " I don't mind helping." 

 Mia and Lia look at Nia for approval. Nia nods her head.

Mia asks" if he could hang the paintings up for them." 

 " Yes,"  Kairav said smiling looking at Mia.

I believe she could have asked him to move a house. He would have died trying to move it. He is still looking at Mia funny and smiling.

"Nia, Why are you still unpacking here?"  Mother said looking around the kitchen

"s**t, my mother could not keep quiet. She had to open her mouth."  I said to myself

"Excuse me?"  Nia said, looking at me

"You all will be moving to our house now." Mother said

"Mother, that's between Nia and me," I said shaking my head

Nia, Mia Lia, and even the dogs are looking at me. It's like all six of them are connected or something. Nia is giving me, we need to talk right now mister look.

I take her by the hand to go to her bedroom. When I walked in,  I am looking at the furniture I nod my head with approval. Nia's furniture is from the Michael Amini King collections The bedroom suite color is honey walnut.

Nia walks over to the sitting room in her bedroom, sitting on a white chaise. "What did she mean about us moving into your house?"  She asks looking out the window, not looking at me

"It's a tradition since I'm next in line to be the next leader, for you to come live with me. Since we are soulmates we should live together. The more we are together, the stronger our bond becomes. We have already accepted each other. Once the marking and the completion of the mating process you will be considered my wife."  I said cupping her face, turning it to look at me.

"I accept you and you being the leader of your tribe, marking, the whole mating process, and being your wife. But I'm not moving out of my home."  She said looking me in my eyes

"You want me to move here with you and your sisters?"  I ask, hoping she was going to say yes

"Yes, you will move in here. We just moved here, this is my dream house. I don't want to move again. I will not put my sisters through moving again. Not after everything they just went through."  Nia said looking at me shaking her head.

"Okay, Princess, I'll move here,"  I said kissing her cheek

She walks over to the intercom telling Mia and Lia to come to our room.

Nia and I explain to them about me being the next leader.  My bald eagle spirit and us being soulmates. They reacted just as Nia had. They accepted it with no problem. These three young ladies are remarkable.

"Nia, now you can start college this fall as you had planned,"  Mia shout  looking at Nia smiling

"We'll see,"  Nia said looking at her sister nodding her head

That's when I realized she had put her education on hold to take care of her sisters. That's why she was looking at the wall last night. When she was talking about college and med school. 

"We will discuss college later."  He said kissing the back of her hand

Nia smiles nod her head "Okay"

Mia goes downstairs to show Kairav where to hangs the paintings.

Nia is making the bed up. While I go into the bathroom put on a pair of boxers, climb into bed."Sweety can you tell my mother to come here so I can talk to her."

 Nia goes downstairs brings my mother to OUR room.

"Mother, we'll be living here. As of today this my home."  He said looking at Nia smiling

"That's not the way we do things Kalani."  Mother said looking at Nia

"This is the way it's going to be. I won't put Nia and her sisters through anything else. They have already been through enough."  Kalani said looking at Nia smiling

Nia walks over to the bed, sits beside him, holding his hand. " You need to rest. Are you hurting?" She asks while cupping my face.

He nods my head looking at her. "I am such a big baby around her" I am thinking

"Okay if that's what you what." Mother said looking at Nia and me smiling

"Yes, it is,"  I said

"Nia, I like you. You and your sisters, you three stood up for each other. You are strong."  Mother said

"Thank you. To be honest I can't say that I like you but I don't dislike you. I will have to see how I feel about you as time goes by. You didn't make a good first impression on me or my sisters. I know you love your son and want what's best for him. He's mine and I will not let anyone take him from me."  Nia said looking at his mother

He is smiling thinking, "she's claiming me, not going to let me go. I love her."

"I understand how you feel. I would feel the same way too. I did run into your house. I am truly sorry for that." My mother said

"I accept your apology. For future reference don't ever bring that ignoring Catherine here again. She almost got her ass whip today."  Nia said

"I'll never bring her again. What can I do to help you with your unpacking?"  Mother said smiling

"You can help in the family room and Kalani's office," Nia said looking at her. 

"My office?"  I asked looking dumbfounded.

"Yes, this is your home now, as the future leader, the school, and the construction company you will need a home office." She said walking over to the intercom. "Lia, can you bring Kalani a bottle of water and some fruit?"  She asks over the intercom

Nia walks over to me, handing me the television remote and a pain pill.

"How are you feeling Hercules?"  Lia asks smiling handing me the water. She put a bowl with grapes, apples, and a few bananas on the nightstand. Her puppy is walking behind her.

I notice one of the puppies is always walking with one of them.

"I'm feeling better Lia. You never told me your puppy name."  I said looking at the puppy sitting beside her foot

"Liza, Mia's is Miza that's Niza."  She said pointing to the dog sitting by my princess's feet.

"Hercules?"  Mother asks

"Yes, he's Nia's Hercules,"  Lia said laughing

Mother laughs "Oh I see"

Nia kisses me   "I  will check on you in a few. What did you want for lunch?"  She said looking at him.

"Some cuddle time with you,"  I whispered in her ear. 

She blushes "That can be arranged Hercules,"  Nia said smiling as she walks out the door with Lia and my mother.
