Devious Lies book is a very dangerous book in my opinion, and Nash Prescott is the most dangerous young man I have ever come across in a romance novel. He told Devious Lies, Gideon Winthrop told Devious lies, and the entire town of Eastridge was drenched in Devious Lies.
In a town of hypocrisy, abuse, bad decisions, and worthlessness, Nash Prescott lost his father as a result of being a victim of Eastridge. As a result, he grew up pretty distant and different from most of the children of Eastridge. Gideon Winthrop was the first citizen of Eastridge.
I would say it like that because he was the richest man in Eastridge, and he was Emery Winthrop’s father. Gideon Winthrop ran a company that fed off the people of Eastridge, and they were not even paid well. They lived from hand to mouth, and given that there were not too many wealthy people in Eastridge, Gideon Winthrop had the town at his disposal. The town and people of Eastridge fed off the scrums of the Winthrop family.

Part 1: All About Devious Lies
In Devious Lies Book Due to the difficulty of Eastridge, Nash Prescott’s father died, and with all his heart he blamed it on the Winthrop family. It is worth saying that Nash Prescott’s younger brother, Reed Prescott, was best friends with the daughter of the wealthiest family in Eastridge, Emery Winthrop.
The Prescotts lived on the Winthrop family property, so that was how the unlikely bond formed between wealthy Emery Winthrop and poor Reed Prescott. During the book, strange things happened. Very strange things that would cause anyone involved to want to leave the town, but where could a poor person go?
These strange things that happened were not only directed at the poor people of Eastridge, as even wealthy Emery Winthrop faced some of these nasty challenges, one of which was when one of her mates Able tried to rape her.
Her mother had sent her and able on an errand, and Able used it as an opportunity to rape Emery Winthrop after downing a bottle of whiskey from Emerys fathers collection.
The town was so conceited that Emery’s mother did not even care to look for Emery after Emery had stayed away for far too long. She was more concerned with other frivolities which were mainly materialistic, than the well-being of her daughter. Luckily, Emery fought her way out of what would have been a terrible experience.
Amidst all these going on in Devious Lies, and fast forward to a couple of years later, Nash Prescott had become a wealthy young man and had a company of his own, while Emery Winthrop, daughter of Gideon Winthrop had become poor. As in, she was very hopelessly poor.
Her father, Gideon Winthrop had made a wrong business decision and went into debt, hereby having him lose his company. He went into hiding and abandoned his family. How would he not hide after making a lot of the citizens of Eastridge broke, and having told them, Devious Lies, while they believed in him? what a man! Emery Winthrop needed help.
She needed a job, and she landed herself in Nash Prescotts company, unknown to her at first. The only thing that was on Nash’s mind when he learned that Emery Winthrop sought a job in his company was revenge. How to make her suffer for the sins of her father. He hated the Winthrop family to the bone, and he considered it fateful that Emery Winthrop had landed in his nest.
She was now at his beck and call. How the tables had turned. I bet, after reading so many romance novels, one can easily tell what would happen between Nash Prescott and Emery Winthrop later. I am not trying to discredit the author by saying that the book is predictable, no! That is not my point.
What I mean is that love was bound to win after so much hate had been the case for so long. Before Nash Prescott knew what was going on, he had started to fall for Emery Winthrop. Read Devious Lies to find out how they met their happy ending.
Part 2: Main Characters of Devious Lies
Nash Prescott
Emery Winthrop’s enemy turned lover, bad boy turned CEO, rags to riches, Nash Prescott was a young man that had grown with a chest of experience. Having seen life in different forms and textures nothing could challenge him anymore until, of course, he realized that he was falling for the daughter of the family that he hated so much, the Emery Winthrop of the Winthrop family.
If anyone had told Nash Prescott while growing up that he would be the wealthy one, and Emery Winthrop would turn out to be the one that needs his help, he would have argued for days untold.
In the course of Devious Lies Book, Nash Prescott later found out that a lot of things that he had imagined to have happened were not as he had imagined them. These were some of the revelations that led him to create space to fall in love with Emery Winthrop.
Emery Winthrop
Originally best friends with the brother of Nash Prescott, Reeds Prescott, Emery Winthrop later became a victim of her father’s nonentity. She didn’t deserve to be poor and needy in my opinion because she was not condescending to any of the kids that she grew up with while her father was on top of the world.
But, when life decides to happen to someone, there’s nearly nothing that can be done to upturn it but waits until the table turns again.
She had a difficult childhood in the hands of her unavailable parents that were so conceited and self-absorbed to the extent that they didn’t have any time for her. She faced near rape, she faced bullying and what have you, and as if all that was not enough, she fell into the hands of a sworn enemy when she was grown up.
Her father had become bankrupt and left her with nothing, as well as no experience to fend for herself. Luckily, she was educated enough to apply for a job at a company that belonged to Nash Prescott, and that was where their hate-to-love and enemy-to-lover story began.
Part 3: Evaluate Devious Lies
Devious Lies Book has to have been written by a professional because books like this can do no wrong. The characters were well explained with a befitting role and the author leaves readers with a vivid picture of what was being narrated in the book. I bet Devious Lies Book is an award-winning book, if not yet, then an award is coming through for such a splendid effort at literary art.
