Part 1: Discover More About Blood Rites
Suppose you like supernatural thrillers with werewolves, vampires, demons, fairies, and more with magic. In that case, I highly recommend The Dresden Files.
The plot centers around a compelling character, Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden, a wizard detective who works with the Chicago police on supernatural cases in this series!
In Blood Rites, Harry is assigned to a new case. He spends most of his time being undercover in the adult film and investigating the murders of the women around him of which he became the prime suspect. The investigation leads him to the Black Court of vampires, Mavra, who interestingly has a family tie with Thomas, his half-brother.
Entertaining and full of magical action, Blood Rites, the 6th book in The Dresden Files, ranks among the best of the series so far.
It is probably Butcher’s scariest and creepiest book. Blood Rites is filled with genuinely shocking plot twists and seriously disturbing demon gorillas stalking Harry Dresden and his friends. Probably his funniest as well, with most of the jokes coming from Bob, Dresden’s disembodied skull sidekick and Thomas Raith, Dresden’s half-brother vampire who works nightclubs to get his blood fixed.

Sure, you’ve heard about the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe? That’s right! It was Jim Butcher’s first fantasy read when he was seven years old before he began reading everything in The Chronicles of Narnia.
These fantastic reads inspired Butcher to be a contemporary fantasy writer.

For three years, Jim Butcher took up writing at the age of 19 with the guidance of his teacher, Deborah Chester. It resulted in the creation of Semiautomagic, introduced as Storm Front in its release in 2000, the beginning of The Dresden Files Series.

You will find many detective series out there that claim to be the “best selling,” but nobody can ever really prove that. The Dresden Files Blood Rites, however, is definitely one of them. It has sold millions of copies in print and even had the chance to be adapted as a TV Series with 12 episodes.
Unfortunately, many similar competitions were airing at that time. The producer of The Dresden Files only aired a single season because the fans were unsatisfied with how different the motion picture production was from the fantasy books.
We all know great books like The Dresden Files are pretty challenging to make real with all the expectations from the fans.
But don’t be sad because it means nothing could ruin the fantasy world Jim Butcher created in our minds from his books.
Part 4: The Making Of The Dresden Files Blood Rites
The market has 17 volumes of the Dresden Files Storm Front, Full Moon, Grave Peril, Summer Knight Death Masks, and the 6th book, Blood Rites.
Just imagine how great the series had become that after Blood Rites, another 11 books followed Dead Beat, Proven Guilty, White Night, Small Favor, Turn Coat, Changes, Ghost Story, Cold Days, Skin Game, Peace Talks, and lastly, published in 2020, Battle Ground.
Jim Butcher continues to create a magnificent world with his writing along with his wife, romantic paranormal writer Shannon K. Butcher. I know fans will be pleased to see what he has coming out next.
