The Ledge 2022 is a thriller movie about a climber cornered on the side of a mountain. She must defend herself against four assailants who are perched twenty feet above her on an overhanging ledge.

For the sake of this post, The Ledge film I’m going to talk about is the 2022 movie, not The Ledge 2011 film with Liv Tyler The Ledge and The Ledge Charlie Hunnam. Technicality aside, let’s dive into the amazing world of The Ledge 2022.
Main Plot of the Ledge 2022
The first sequences of The Ledge film show Kelly and Sophie who traveled to Northern Italy to rock climb.
However, before they could put on their climbing gear, a group of guys arrived. As a result, the two women spent the evening chatting with them around the campfire.
Unfortunately, Josh, one of the males, has other things on his mind besides roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories. He makes a move on Sophie after Kelly heads off to her cabin for a good night’s sleep.
While following Sophie through the woods, Josh makes an attempt to sexually assault her. She gets away from Josh and the other men by scrambling up the side of a nearby rockface.
Kelly, upon realizing that her friend may be in danger, walks into the woods. She arrives at the mountain just in time to watch her friend being flung off a cliff.
However, she captures the horrible moment on camera. The other men hear her and begin to chase her.
Kelly free climbs her way to the top of the mountain to get away from her pursuers. Eventually, the men chased after Kelly, making her do things to ward off the bad guys.
Fortunately, Josh makes life easier for Kelly by killing his own men. This leaves Kelly and Josh alone on the ledge. As Josh desperately hangs on to the ledge, he begs Kelly to save his life. Kelly didn’t listen though. She stepped on Josh’s hand, letting him fall to his death.
The film ends with Kelly on the peak of the mountain. She was standing next to a wooden cross, one placed in the memory of her dead boyfriend who taught her everything about climbing.

The Ledge full movie was released on February 17, 2022, worldwide. It was released in the USA on February 18, 2022. The movie is 1 hour and 26 minutes long.

Let me be straight with you: This vertigo-inducing film is not just for height-phobic viewers. So if you’re afraid of heights, I suggest skipping this.
Phobia aside, The Ledge film is an interesting watch. The performance of the actors makes it worth watching as well.
Plus, the movie’s premise is great. The climbing scenes are also executed well. In a sense, The Ledge film gives you a great climbing experience because of how real it looks.
However, just like many thriller movies, The Ledge film has its flaws. In this case, it’s the movie’s dialogue.
The dialogue is unconvincing and cringe-worthy. This is largely due to wooden statements that the actors probably struggled to understand.
So, their stiff performances aren’t totally their fault. Brittany Ashworth does better, not only because she doesn’t have much to say, but also because she can overcome the script’s flaws. If the movie had more action than dialogue, other performers would have done better.
This could have been an excellent cat-and-mouse thriller with better writing. As I indicated, the mountain-climbing scenes are fantastic. The combat scenes are inventive as well.
But the conversations in this story aren’t believable and are compelled to spout rubbish, so I won’t blame you if you stop watching the movie before the credits roll.
Conclusion
The film received mixed reviews from both certified film critics and regular viewers. Despite its flaws, The Ledge 2022 remains an interesting watch. The plot is thrilling and you’ll just hate the antagonist Josh, which means his acting is superb. Kelly’s endgame on The Ledge movie is also spectacularly executed.
