Gerald
He learns a valuable life lesson, even though it may have been the hardest that he ever learned. It came with beatings and submission, insults, and the caution never to let the ones who were good to him become tired of him.
Gerald avoided letting his friends see his situation completely. The few people he had on his side were not allowed to pity him because it was just another factor that could incite them to leave at some point.
Fortunately, he does not have to worry about that anymore. The trip that he took into a life of poverty, gave him the wonderful gift of learning about the evils of humanity. Gerald was put in an unfavorable situation and was able to see the people who really did value his presence. He learns that wealth quickly corrupts a person and with his newly acquired rich status, he will choose to show goodness to genuinely pure-hearted people.
Lucky Coincidences
It’s just a wonderful coincidence that the bitch of a girlfriend dumped him for someone else. Yes, of course, no girl would like a life of poverty with a man who was literally a slave to the rich. Nevertheless, she still had the inclination to ridicule Gerald for a life he had no choice but to live with.
Gerald is a man who grew wise from his experiences. He is a man who is organized and practical in his approach to life. No doubt, it gave him the common sense to use his money well.
Part 2: Plot Summary of The Secretly Rich Man
The story follows Gerald, a man living in poverty and has been doing so for as long as he could remember. Gerald did not have a life that was even partially substantial enough that he could avoid humiliating himself in front of his peers. Not even. Rather, he was a voluntary slave at the whims of the rich; if they had money to pay, he was a ready worker, no matter the task.
That was Gerald’s life until one day when after he had caught the girlfriend who broke up with him, now in another man’s arms three days later, he was sent home in despair and bruises. Gerald woke up to receive a call from a strange number only to speak with his sister who informed him of their massive wealth.
The Crawford family was not a small name at all. Wealth was scattered and abundant. But why did Gerald have to live so pathetically? It was to teach him to live frugally and appreciate the wealth that would subsequently come into his life later.
It was supposed to be two more years until he could be told the truth. But his sister clearly saw the suffering that her brother had to deal with. Speaking of which, the first order of business is buying a gift for someone and, in the process, humiliating the two good-for-nothings that laughed at him because he had no money before. Fifty thousand dollars was chump change.

Chapter Three
Xavia, Gerald’s ex-girlfriend rebuked him for pretending to be rich. At the side, however, the store attendant, Rachel, was shocked at the black gold card that Gerald had placed on the counter. The owner of such a card was without a doubt someone wealthy and powerful.
Wendy, the other store attendant, gave Gerald the card reader and he input his birthday which was the passcode. The transaction was successful, and the people around were shocked.
Yuri, the bastard that Xavia had run to because of money, was in disbelief at what he witnessed and could not take himself being the clown in this situation. Yuri stopped Gerald from leaving and then accused him of stealing the card. They went off to get the manager in order to confirm the identity of the person who truly owned the card.
The manager appeared and politely asked to check the card that Gerald possessed. Gerald could not leave at this point, so he just gave the manager the card.
The manager brought out a special card reader and then asked for Gerald’s last name. He gave it and even gave his sister’s name as well as his ID. Yuri watched from the side with a confident sneer, After the manager did her inspection, she had on her face, a look of horror.
The man who possessed the card was indeed the owner and that could only mean that he was someone extremely wealthy and powerful. The manager apologized with a bow. The attendant who still tried to make trouble for Gerald was slapped across the face. The confounded Yuri and Xavia even got chased out of the store.
