Part 1: Intense Chapters of The Playboy Superstar Versus The CEO
Chapter 1
“‘Here we go, the man of my dreams. Joan’s attempt 212. Good luck to me.” Joan Belle said to herself when she arrived at the Hale mansion on the pre-birthday lunch of Christopher Hale, the CEO of Hale Companies.
In The Playboy Superstar Versus The CEO Book, Joan Belle, and Christopher Hale had known each other and were intense family friends right from when they were kids until now. Joan Belle had always had a crush on Christopher Hale, and it had become a ritual to attend his birthday lunch and give him his favorite dessert, cake!
“‘Like every other year of course! You will never miss any of Christopher’s birthdays!” Meredith Hale, Christopher’s mother had said, welcoming Joan Belle to the house.
This is just proof that Joan Belle had spent her entire life trying to get Christopher Hale to notice how romantically attracted to him she was, but according to The Playboy Superstar Versus The CEO Novel, Christopher Hale always pretended not to be aware of Joan Belle’s feelings for him.
Chapter 6
“‘I see…that’s a relief. I mean, that you are better…” Christopher Hale had said to Joan Belle after he found out that she was safe in her home. She had left Christopher’s birthday party with his playboy best friend, Cole Adams, and Christopher, knowing who his best friend was, hoped that Joan Belle knew what she was up to, hanging out with a Cassanova like Cole.
In this chapter of The Playboy Superstar Versus The CEO Novel, Christopher Hale announced that he was in a serious romantic relationship with Shantal Lin who was a celebrity actress. It was a lie to sway Joan Belle in the wrong direction because Christopher Hale was jealous about her and Cole Adams hanging out.
Part 2: Main Plot of The Playboy Superstar Versus The CEO
Years later, Joan Belle was still in love with Christopher Hale. On this particular occasion of his 28th birthday, Joan Belle, as usual, bought him his favorite flavor of cake, which Christopher Hale accepted with birth hands.
It had been normal practice for Joan Belle to gift Christopher Hale this cake on his birthday, which they would all eventually eat as dessert after the family and other close guests had a private lunch at the Hale mansion.
In The Playboy Superstar Versus The CEO Book, it was stated that Joan Belle had shown all sorts of signs to Christopher Hale that she was available for him and that she was romantically interested in him, but Christopher Hale always only treated her like everyone else in the family, a sister.
To think they had been neighbors for ten years, so one would think that Christopher Hale would only ever see her as a friend and sister that he had to protect. This sort of thing made Joan Belle so upset. She was not his sister, for crying out loud.
On the side, however, someone was watching and noticing the display of affection that Joan Belle often gave to Christopher Hale, yet he ignored it and continued to hit on Joan Belle at every chance that he got. It was Cole Adams.
Joan always brushed him off, never taking him seriously, as all her attention was on Christopher Hale. Now, it was his birthday, and Christopher Hale’s mother, who was aware of the fondness that Joan Belle had for her son, deliberately asked Joan to go to a certain room in the hotel where the official birthday party was taking place, to call Christopher down, stating that guests had arrived.
In The Playboy Superstar Versus The CEO Book, Joan was more than glad to oblige, but seeing this happening, and knowing that Christopher Hale was up to no good in the hotel room, Cole Adams ran after Joan, trying to distract her from going to the room and trying to make sure that she was not embarrassed and ashamed.
Thankfully, he succeeded in stopping Joan just before she knocked on the door. While Joan and Cole were having this back-and-forth of subtle confusion, Christopher came out of the hotel room, kissing a renowned celebrity.

He saw Joan and Cole just outside his door, and he asked what was up, but Cole quickly lied that Joan was looking for him, and had mistaken Christopher’s room for his own. He said this while he put his arm around Joan so that she would not feel embarrassed.
After Christopher left with the lady that was with him, Joan cried uncontrollably. Thankfully, she had Cole to support her and console her, telling her that Christopher was not noticing her because she was too available for him.
In The Playboy Superstar Versus The CEO Book, Cole offered to take Joan back home, as she opted not to continue with the party anymore. Christopher, while he was at the party, kept on looking out for his friends, especially Joan.
He called her, texted her, and whatnot, but there was no reply, so he was left wondering where she was. Did Christopher Hale like Joan Belle romantically or not? Read the book to find out.
