As often as we might or not know, age-gap romance is still considered taboo to society and when an author uses it, the book often faces poor judgment. Though there’s nothing fairly wrong with that trope (as long as both are adults), it always causes an unsavory look to a reader as it pulls many awful stigmas.
It’s reassuring that there are always books out there that don’t live up to that impression. The Naked Fisherman is one perfect example of a well-justified age-gap romance. The heroine might be gullible, and easy to come off as a target for exploitation, but the male character never did anything that tramples her will.
He even helped her to reach maturity, and that’s only one of the excellent jobs that this book had done. It debunked some of the stereotypes that shoo people away and shed light on the advantages of age-gap love.
The Naked Fisherman fused that and the downside of being too compliant in one religion that it robs one’s awareness, of one whole book, delivering readers to the highest level of pleasure.

Part 1: Interesting Storyline of The Naked Fisherman
Growing up in a Christian environment, Reese is strictly conservative when it comes to the forces that challenge her morality. She thinks she has it all figured out even though she’s only eighteen. She just graduated from high school and has already made up her mind about the path she’d take.
When she reunited with her mother, she did not expect any lapses would happen to her soon. As it turned out, her mother would be leaving for a month of job training, and she was forced her to stay in the basement she was renting from the most problematic landlord Reese has ever encountered.
Problematic for her, because he does things that straightforwardly trample her moral codes. He’s overly confident, too experienced, and smoking hot. Every time she looks at him, without any shirt on, Reese thinks she’s being tempted by the devil.
He looks so pleasuring sinful that Reese has to stay away and not be attracted by his menacing smile and dirty words. But it didn’t become easy because Fisher is her boss, too!
And he wasn’t, at all, discouraged by Reese’s innocence. Unfortunately for them two, the age-gap relationship isn’t that well received like in movies and books.
Reese is only eighteen, and she hasn’t yet gotten past her adolescence (though, she thinks she already has), so committing a relationship with someone like Fisher who’s ten years older, might be considered taboo. Especially when Reese’s mother knew Fisher personally, and they are workmates.
Though it might appear that Fisher is corrupting Reese’s purity, it wasn’t the real case, as Fisher opened up Reese’s eyes and enabled her to reach development, debunking her inner confidence that she already knew everything about a woman should know.
Not just that, Fisher also made Reese experience adventures that showcase the reality of the world, one thing that bibles couldn’t just teach to young believers. Their shortfalls set the core of their relationship.
But when did forbid romance ever resulted in a pure journey of bliss? The downside of their relationship then came back biting them. Reese’s mother discovered her relationship with Fisher and right then, the course of their romance began to go through hoops and loops.
Despite the overwhelming possibilities they might play out being strangers again, they did all their best to reboot their love and paved the way to end up being with each other. The book ends with a cliffhanger, and their fairy tale will continue to the second bookThe Lost Fisherman.
Part 2: About the Author of The Naked Fisherman
Jewel E. Ann is a Wall Street Journal USA Today best-selling author with a quirky sense of humor, and also an advocate for the betterment of nature through planting one tree at a time. She writes mind-bending romance, crafting her characters through the use of limiting their perspective.
She already wrote over fifty books and has so many upcoming projects. She’s a verified author on Goodreads with thousands of followers. Her books are considered as a pill for some because of her imaginative way of blending cliche tropes to build a new one.
None of the books she created have received negative feedback, all of them were refreshing, alluring, and magical in every sense.
Just to clear up some confusion about the title, though. The male character isn’t a fisherman as you might think, it’s just the combination of his name: ‘Fisher Mann’.
Part 3: Evaluation of The Naked Fisherman
When I saw The Naked Fisherman is all over Amazon and Goodreads, I know for certain that it was something else. Every feedback I read greatly suggested starting it right away. And I don’t regret biting off the risk and giving it a chance. The Naked Fisherman didn’t disappoint! It has everything that any reader could hope for.
A heart-pounding romance, with inspirational personal growth, and entertaining characters. The plot was just a bonus, as the characters drove the story to its full development.
The Naked Fisherman is certainly a highly recommended one. It’s inspiring, at most, as it opens the perspective of a conservative person. What everyday struggles they have to go through in accordance with what they learned, and how religion molded them from their outlook to their behavior.
Part 4: Similar Book on Dreame
If The Naked Fisherman does interest you, and you’re getting problematic about how to follow it up that can cure your hang-ups, here’s another story of a forbidden love spiced up with steamy love scenes. It does not only end with that, though, as the novel also portrays the struggles within the family and the power of relationships.
Forbidden Seduction by AyrGal89 is a steamy tale of an unspoken yet increasingly felt attraction between two enemies that had hooked up several times in the past. It follows the life of Jessica, moving out from Scotland to London to join rooms with her brother.
She didn’t expect to see the man that captivated her for the past years to be there, as well, living and eating in the same household. She wasn’t young anymore, and she has acquired enough knowledge to beat up the stupid pull of Callen’s exceptional existence. But old habits die hard, and sometimes, some just don’t go away completely.
