Part 1: Dynamic Characters Of The Heir’s Secret Bride

Maeve Reese

The Heir's Secret Bride Maeve Reese

Maeve Reese is the lead female character of The Heir’s Secret Bride Book. She is the secret bride that the title of the book speaks about. How did Maeve become a secret bride in the first place?

It all started when Maeve was being coaxed to get married to a young man just because her family felt they owed the man’s family. At first, Maeve did not mind getting married to the man in question until something happened.

Just days to their marriage, Maeve happened to stumble on the man in bed with another woman. Heartbroken, Maeve left without saying a word, but she made up her mind about one thing. She would not get married to that man at all.

On the day of her marriage, Maeve’s mother came to hurry her up for the D-day. Maeve told her mother what she witnessed, and that she would not get married to that man, but it fell on deaf ears.

Maeve was forced to go to the marriage registry. On getting there, Maeve knew she had to act fast. She was lucky enough to see a man whose bride had abandoned him, and he needed to get married that day.

Maeve suggested to the man that both of them should get married, and they did.

Byron McDaniel

The Heir's Secret Bride Byron McDaniel

Byron McDaniel is the lead male character of The Heir’s Secret Bride Book. Byron was the man that Maeve quickly grabbed at the marriage registry and suggested that they got married.

What was Byron’s story?

Byron was under pressure from his father to get married. In fact, his father said that if Byron did not get married on that day when Maeve saw him and threw herself at him, then he would die.

Byron had a bride quite alright, but she ran off with his bodyguard and left him stranded at the registry. It was at this point Maeve overheard Byron talking about his predicament on the phone that she presented herself.

Byron was as desperate as Maeve was, so he sulkily accepted her offer. It was easier for Byron to accept Maeve when she reminded him that she was the person who had saved his life the day before.

Ladies who are giving out to marriage solely in a bid to raise money for their families do not deserve such treatment. Maeve Reese felt that way in The Heir’s Secret Bride Book when she took matters into her hands to change her fate.

They got married, but Maeve had not the slightest idea who Byron was. In fact, she thought he was the most distressed man, judging from the day she saved his life after he was being attacked.

Byron told Maeve that he was a driver, meanwhile he was a wealthy heir.

Jeff Graves

The Heirs Secret Bride Jeff Graves

Jeff Graves is the supporting male lead of The Heir’s Secret Bride Book. Jeff was the person that Maeve was supposed to get married to initially, but they did not get married anymore. Why?

Maeve happened to catch Jeff cheating.

Jeff saw Maeve at the hospital where she was struggling with her ill father. She and her family could not afford the medical bills, so it was Jeff’s father who helped them. In fact, Jeff’s father went further to give Maeve’s father a job after he was relieved of his illness.

Jeff started to make advances at Maeve during and after this time. Also, given that both of them were under pressure to get married, they thought they were the right pair, and it was the right time.

However, Jeff was a prude man. If he tried to get physical with Maeve and she refused, he would become upset and ask her to do nearly impossible tasks like deliver booze to him at midnight.

Jeff went wild and attacked Maeve after spying on her and finding her with Byron. She stood him up for marriage, so he got angry and attacked Maeve at her house.

Byron overpowered Jeff and sent him to prison.

Part 2: The Plot And Core Of The Heir’s Secret Bride

The Heir's Secret Bride Full Book

Maeve Reese took her destiny in her hands in The Heir’s Secret Bride Book. She and her family had blindly entered into a peripheric debt with the Grave family.

A peripheric debt is one which is in the sense that nobody is asking you to pay them back for anything, but you know you owe them. That was the case with the Reese and Grave family.

The Grave family had saved the Reese family when Maeve’s father was sick at the hospital. The Reese family could not afford to pay the bills for their master, so Wallace Graves, the head of the Grave family stepped in.

Wallace paid for the hospital bill and also gave Maeve’s father a job after he recovered. With that, even though the Graves family were not asking for anything in return, the Reese family felt in-debt to them.

That was what gave Jeff Graves the impetus to treat Maeve the way he did. First of all, he started to make advances at Maeve. Maeve had no choice than to submit to Jeff because of what his father did for her father.

Maeve accepted Jeff and even agreed to marry him since it was convenient for both of them. But that was not where Jeff would stop. He made physical advances at Maeve, trying to get her in bed, and anytime Maeve turned him down, he became upset.

Jeff would send Maeve on horrible errands and be cruel to her. Regardless of all of this, Maeve still intended to get married to him until one fateful day.

Maeve had gone to deliver hangover pills to Jeff when she saw him through the crack of the door, being intimate with another woman. That was what broke the camel’s back.

On the day that Maeve and Jeff were supposed to get married, she was still in bed till late in the morning. Maeve’s mother, Valda, came to coax her to hurry up, but Maeve said she didn’t want to get married to Jeff anymore.

She told her mother the reason she didn’t want to marry Jeff again, but her mother didn’t want to hear of it. Would the Reese family abandon all the money that the Graves family would give them because of a mere reason of unfaithfulness?

Valda dressed Maeve up and sent her to the marriage registry. Yet, Maeve was determined not to get married to Jeff Graves.

It was at that point that she found Byron McDaniels. Byron was speaking with someone on the phone. Apparently, his bride had stood him up and he was in desperate need of a bride. Maeve happened to hear Byron’s conversation, and so she brought herself forward for marriage.

Byron, as desperate as Maeve was, agreed to get married to her, though he was very sulky about it. Byron, of course, suspected Maeve to have something fishy up her sleeve for marrying him, a total stranger.
