Part 1: Simone’s Second Chance At Life: The Heiress’ Return & Revenge Plot
The story revolves around Simone, a beautiful young girl whose life hasn’t been easy. When she was a little girl, her family lost her, thus she had to grow up without the affection of her own parents and brothers.
To cope with their loss, the Gray parents eventually adopted another girl, Jodie, whom they cherished like she were their own offspring. Meanwhile, Simone grew up mostly alone, only finding solace in the arms of her friend, Leon.
Leon Foster used to come to his grandfather’s house all the time when he was little. The old man lived next to Simone’s adoptive father, thus Simone and Leon were occasional neighbors.
Growing up, the two friends developed feelings for each other and eventually became boyfriend and girlfriend. But, just like her real family, Leon betrayed Simone as well.
When the Grays finally found their lost daughter after all those years, Simone believed that she was the luckiest woman alive. She believed she would have doting parents and brothers and a loving boyfriend.
But things weren’t as the girl dreamed. Her parents and brothers were all smitten and protective of Jodie and although they received Simone back into the family, they affection was mostly reserved for Jo, their adopted daughter and sister.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Simone is a badass heroine in The Heiress’ Return & Revenge novel. Her life hasn’t been easy, having to grow up without her parents and brothers, especially without her mother’s love, but she manages become an outstanding person.
Unfortunately, none of the Grays see Simone for the gem she is. They keep finding fault in her actions, blaming her for not cherishing Jodie just like the rest of the family.
Although Simone is the one deprived of the family’s love and wealth all this time, she’s not the one being compensated for her loss. Instead, all the affection and opportunities are directed towards Jodie in order for her to not feel like an outsider within the family.
Although Simone has been received so poorly within the family, she tried her best to fit in, doting on her parents and brothers. She massaged their aching feet, cooked for them, she was obedient and even gave up many job opportunities in Jodie’s favor to please everyone.
Yet, all she received was scolding and ultimate betrayal that led to her demise. Coming back to life and having the chance to make things right between her and her family, Simone chooses to cut all ties with them and make them see Jodie for who she really is, while getting revenge.
Jodie is a manipulative girl, who doesn’t receive well the news of Simone’s return within the family. She doesn’t necessarily need everything she demands, yet she does so to put her brothers in a position where they need to choose between her and Simone, and they always choose their adopted sister.
The truth is that she doesn’t act like a sister towards Aaron. Everyone watching the show can see the fact that she acts more like a girlfriend than a sister, while also making eyes at Leon and Zac. Unfortunately for her, Simone learned her lesson and she knows what to do to expose the real Jo in front of the whole world.
Continuously, Jodie falls for Simone’s traps and shows her real colors. She’s jealous of the Gray’s real daughter, she wants the affection of her brothers directed at her even when their girlfriends are around and she wants Leon just because he’s Simone’s boyfriend.
Simone and Jodie aren’t even frenemies. Jo never gave the real Gray daughter a chance to be loved by her family, nor did she try to get close to her. on the contrary, throughout the entire The Heiress’ Return & Revenge novel, she tried to portray Simone as the villain, while making herself victim.
