The Queen of nothing Novel

Back to the present day, Jude still lives in the human world together with Vivienne and Oak. She struggles to pay rent as she has no legal documents to get a proper job. She works for a faerie called Bryern, who has been exiled to the human world and who offers Jude some odd jobs, one of them being to stop Grima Mog from eating any more local Folk.

One day, Jude returns home to find a pregnant Taryn looking for her. She had escaped from the faerie world because she ultimately killed her husband Locke for being abusive towards her. Taryn asks Jude to return to Faerie and pretend to be her so that she will be able to lie about killing Locke, thus not being punished for his death.

Eventually, Jude agrees even though this puts her at risk since Cardan banished her from Faerie unless she is pardoned by the crown. Disobeying his order would bring her death.

Jude, under the pretense of being Taryn, returns to Faerie and is exonerated from Locke’s death. Cardan knows that the girl is in fact Jude and asks her why she did not reply to any of his letters. Soon after, the girl is kidnapped by Madoc men, thinking that she was Taryn and that she was in danger.

Being in the enemy nest now, Jude must find a way to escape and get to her sisters. Will she succeed? Will Cardan come and rescue her?

Just as Jude turns around to leave, Taryn blurts out that her husband, Locke is dead and that she killed him. She needs Jude to go back to Faerie and pretend to be her so that no one finds out that she murdered her husband.

Taryn begins to put the puzzle pieces together and realizes that Locke tried to kill her sister, but she was too blind to see anything. She tried to be an obedient wife, even hosting his parties with his friends, but eventually, she had enough.
