Chapter 2 of The Devil’s Cursed Witch

The day Draven and Ember met wasn’t all good. Ember was caught in the fire orchestrated by the villagers who hated the witch. Luckily, she was able to summon Draven. The latter was unaware of how Ember managed to pull it off but still, he saved her. He even brought her to the palace and ordered his trusted aide to treat her wounds.

When Draven found Ember, he was not paying attention to how she looked like. However, after she was treated, she saw the uncanny resemblance between Ember and the woman in his dream. This earned Ember a ticket to stay in the kingdom although with the elves.

Chapter 31 of The Devil’s Cursed Witch

Since Ember wasn’t allowed to stay at the main palace and she equally hated staying there too, Leeora settled her in the Elf territory. Two elven kids were snooping around her abode. One was arguing that Ember was a bad human while the other was contradicting the former. She wouldn’t be able to step inside that house if she was a bad human.

Ember caught the two snooping. The kids asked for her name but she just shook her head. The two did not know what it meant so they still argued until they heard someone speak. It was Draven.

Yes, it was Draven who gave her the name Ember.

Part 4: Review of The Devil’s Cursed Witch

The Devil’s Cursed Witch tells the story of Draven, a devil king who rules over the six races except for humans. He has always been bothered by a dream. There was a human woman who seemed to have made a promise to him. With this case seemingly related to the human he saved, he let her stay with him.

This woman is the estranged princess of the human kingdom. A priest had foreseen an oracle about the princess that she was going to be a disaster. They tried to kill her but always failed. Their last attempt was when they burned the mountain she was staying at. Lucky for her she was able to summon Draven.

Set in a fantastical and mythical world, The Devil’s Cursed Witch is a fantasy romance that heavily focuses on the former genre. The romance part was a slow burn as the heroine was still in the process of healing her wounds physically and emotionally.

This novel has a solid foundation in worldbuilding and it wittingly used this to its advantage. This novel is plot-driven and past-oriented so if you want to really understand this novel, be sure to not forget those small details.
