Darius and Ludwig try to hide in a large stone. Still, Salerian Duchy can detect their presence based on the scent of their breath and hear their hearts beating, which terrifies them. Salerian was on his way to find them with his sword drawn when the statue behind which they had found cover began to move.
Once the statue started moving and fighting, the crowd scattered, but the soldiers of Salerian were more than enough to defeat it. When the soldiers started coming after them, the remaining demons in the forest managed to get ahead of them and pass them.
In a stroke of luck, Ludwig’s position as demon king causes the other demons to show their darker sides. Consequently, the demons engaged the soldiers in battle, eventually resulting in the soldiers’ defeat. Nonetheless, Darius began to wonder why demons kept rescuing them whenever they were in danger.
